Qualifications

  • Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register according to accounting policies.
  • Guide and mentor the accounting team on accurate postings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve financial processes.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  1. Master Data Management -Ensure accuracy and consistency in master data across all financial systems, including account codes, cost centers, and business units.
  2. Accurate Monthly Closing-Oversee and ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings in compliance with accounting standards.
  3. MIS Reporting & Schedules-Prepare and deliver timely, customized Management Information System (MIS) reports and monthly financial schedules to support business decision-making.
  4. Ledger Reconciliation -Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
  5. Audit Support -Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, reconciliations, and explanations, ensuring audit completion within stipulated timelines.
  6. Budgeting and Forecasting Assistance -Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities to improve financial planning and performance tracking.
  7. Fixed Asset Management -Maintain and update the fixed asset register in accordance with accounting policies and ensure accurate depreciation and capitalization.
  8. Team Guidance & SOP Compliance -Guide and mentor the accounting team to ensure accurate postings and adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  9. Cross-Functional Collaboration -Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., procurement, HR, operations) to align financial processes and improve interdepartmental efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
  1. CA/CMA or Semi qualified professional qualification preferred
  2. Minimum 4-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting and MIS reporting
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
