Nextlink is looking for a hands-on GenAI Data Scientist tojoin the Data Analytics & Foundational Platforms team within WealthManagement Americas. The role focuses on designing, developing, evaluating, anddeploying Generative AI and machine learning solutions that enhance businessdecision-making, automate workflows, and improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have strong programming andanalytical skills, practical experience building AI/ML applications, and theability to translate business requirements into scalable, reliable, andproduction-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test,and deploy Generative AI and machine learning solutions in collaborationwith senior data scientists and technical leads.
  
• Build AI-poweredapplications using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-AugmentedGeneration (RAG), semantic search, embeddings, and agent-basedarchitectures.
  
• Develop and maintainevaluation frameworks to assess the accuracy, reliability, consistency,and performance of LLM-based applications.
  
• Prepare, process, andanalyze structured and unstructured data for machine learning and AIapplication development.
  
• Experiment with promptengineering, retrieval strategies, model configurations, embeddings, andfine-tuning techniques to optimize solution performance.
  
• Develop, validate, andimplement machine learning models using techniques such as classification,clustering, and optimization.
  
• Write clean, reusable,maintainable Python code following software engineering, version control,testing, and reproducibility best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong hands-onprogramming experience in Python, including familiarity withcommonly used data science and machine learning libraries.
  
• Practical experiencedeveloping or prototyping Generative AI applications using LLMs.
  
• Understanding of NaturalLanguage Processing (NLP), deep learning, machine learning, and agentic AIsystems.
  
• Hands-on knowledge ofRAG pipelines, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, semanticretrieval, and information retrieval systems.
  
• Experience evaluatingmachine learning models or LLM-based applications using appropriateperformance and quality metrics.
  
• Strong SQL skills andexperience working with structured data, databases, and analytical datapreparation.
  
• Mandatory hands-onexperience in Power BI , including dashboard development and datavisualization.
  
• Familiarity with machinelearning techniques such as classification, clustering, and optimization.
  
• Exposure to cloud anddata platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, or Databricks.
  
• Familiarity with Git,version control, code reviews, automated testing, and software developmentbest practices.
