Job summary

Sony India Software Centre is seeking a GenAI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise GenAI solutions across platforms and products. You will translate business challenges into scalable, secure AI-powered applications and copilots that drive efficiency and impact.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with product, engineering, data, and IT teams, own production readiness, and apply LLMs, RAG, embeddings, APIs, and AI agents to deliver measurable value in complex enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years in software engineering or backend/platform engineering.
• Strong Python/Node.js or cloud-native development.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, Embeddings, Vector Databases, and AI Agents.
• Experience building and integrating REST/gRPC APIs with enterprise platforms.
• Familiarity with MCP, agent orchestration frameworks, and multi-agent systems.
• Understanding of AI security, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, data privacy and governance.
• Experience deploying and monitoring GenAI solutions in production.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder collaboration skills.

We are looking for a GenAI Engineer with strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing GenAI solutions across a variety of business and technology use cases.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of AI and GenAI concepts, including Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, AI agents, model evaluation, API integrations, and production deployment practices.

The candidate should have prior experience working on GenAI initiatives that have progressed beyond proof of concept and have been successfully deployed in production environments. They should be comfortable building AI-powered applications, intelligent features, automation solutions, copilots, and digital products that deliver measurable business value.

The individual should be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product owners, engineering teams, business stakeholders, and enterprise IT functions. They should be able to understand business challenges and translate them into practical AI-enabled solutions that enhance user experiences, automate workflows, improve decision-making, and drive operational efficiency.
