Job summary

EY is seeking a Finance Reporting and Data Analytics professional in Bengaluru to design and deliver Power BI reports and dashboards for financial results, variance analysis, and revenue planning. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable analytics and automate reporting processes.

You will mentor junior analysts, handle complex ad hoc requests, and contribute to data warehousing and ETL improvements, using SQL, DAX, and Power BI Service.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Power BI dashboard and report development.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and Data Modeling.
• Experience in creating interactive dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reports.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Experience working with large datasets from multiple sources (SQL Server, Azure, Excel, SharePoint, etc).
• Good understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of Power BI Service, workspace management, gateways, and row-level security (RLS).
• Experience in performance tuning and report optimization.

The opportunity

The purpose of this job is to prepare financial reports and study financial results, cost analysis and budgets. Study transactions to conclude root causes, variances and suggest corrections to management. Design and create complex reports to user specifications. The position will ideally have to handle more complex issues and special projects than a junior financial analyst.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Strong expertise in Power BI dashboard and report development
• Generate standard Markets and financial reports on a periodic basis and Identify and solve issues that affect reporting
• Handle complex ad hoc reports from Stakeholders on a timely manner
• Proactively take part in the revenue planning as well as financial planning process
• Ensure proper review mechanism is in place for the respective teams
• Develop new reports as well as enhance existing reports by working on automating the report preparation as much as possible
• Mentor, guide, train junior analysts and new recruits
