We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 production support for a GCP-based application, using technologies like BigQuery, GCS, and workflows.
• Collaborate with Operations, Development and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, alerting, design defects, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release / change.
• Manage incidents and problems to ensure service availability and resilience.
• Oversee IT controls (e.g., SDLC, DEPL, CHNG) and various metrics to track service resilience.
• Provide evidence and support internal/external audit reviews as needed.
• Deliver ITSO book of work.
• Be flexible to work in shifts and provide on-call support.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of GCP BigQuery, shell scripting, SQL scripts, and batch scheduling tools (e.g., Control M).
• Experience in supporting batch processes and high-volume data-intensive applications; experience with Regulatory Reporting applications is a plus.
• Good understanding of risk and compliance requirements; knowledge of Production Support processes and procedures (Change, Incident, Problem & Service management).
• Knowledge of patching and vulnerability management practices.
• Strong understanding of Linux & Windows platforms with hands-on experience in solving application/infrastructure issues.
• Basic understanding of the DevOps operating model and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub.
• Understanding of production monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk).
• Ability to work independently to analyze and resolve production problems and coordinate with global teams across time zones.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery processes and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline & DevOps tooling is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in Investment Banking and GCP cloud-based systems is an advantage.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile Methodologies; familiarity with tools – GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Ansible.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and experience interacting with distributed teams.
• Problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
