Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a seasoned GCP Data Engineer to design and implement data pipelines in a hybrid on-site setup across Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar or Kolkata. The role emphasizes scalable ETL/ELT, data quality, and cloud-native solutions using Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.

You will work with DevOps style IaC using Terraform, optimize SQL-based processing, and collaborate with business teams to deliver high-impact analytics projects.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years' experience in GCP data development.
• 3+ years experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development using Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Datastream, Data Fusion.
• Good knowledge in performance tuning of GCP data components, SQL, pipeline and parallel processing concepts.
• DBT data Build Tool and Striim knowledge will be added advantage
• Knowledge on SQL is must and Python will be an added advantage.
• Good exposure in AI tools like Gemini Cloud Assist
• Good Experience of Apigee and application integration.
• Experience with GCP services like Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, Composer is required.
• Experience in working with Big Query is a must.
• Good understanding of database concepts like partitioning, stored procedures, function.
• Experience in using Terraform for IAC.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, analytical ability and the ability to work effectively with systems technical staff and business users.
• GCP certification is desired.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

Role & responsibilities

• 3+ years experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development using dataflow, pubsub, dataproc, datstream, Data fusion and in a volume intensive data environment preferably in telecom industry.
• Good knowledge in performance tuning of GCP data components, SQL, pipeline and parallel processing concepts.
