Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Chennai seeks a data engineer to lead data platform modernization using GCP. Design and implement data pipelines with BigQuery, Airflow, GCS, Data Fusion and Dataflow, collaborating with analytics teams.

You will apply Python and PySpark, work on Linux, and build CI/CD pipelines for big data releases, with knowledge of Hadoop/Spark/Beam considered a plus. On-site opportunity in Chennai.

• Overall 5+ years in IT with 3+ years hands-on data engineering.
• Experience in GCP-based Big Data deployments (Batch/Realtime) using BigQuery, Airflow, GCS, Data Fusion, Dataflow and Dataproc.
• Strong Python and PYSPARK skills; Linux proficiency.
• Exposure to creating CI/CD pipelines for big data releases and log monitoring.

Detailed Job requirements:

Must Have:

• Very good experience in implementing data platform modernization using GCP data services.
• Good data modelling skills on SQL/NoSQL based data platforms.
• Google Data Engineer (Overall 5+ Years with 3 years relevant hands-on experience)
• Experience working in GCP based Big Data deployments (Batch/Realtime) leveraging components like GCP Big Query, air flow, Google Cloud Storage, Data fusion, Data flow, Data Proc etc.
• Good skills in Python Language, PYSPARK
• Good Skills in Linux
• Exposure to creation of CI-CD pipelines for promoting big data release deployments and designing log monitoring features.

Good-to-have

• Experience in On Premise Hadoop technologies (Hive, Sqoop, SPARK, Kafka)
