Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer for Gas Turbine R&D in Gurgaon. The role focuses on advanced CAE/FEA for static, transient, thermal, and structural analysis of gas turbine components using leading software.

You will perform fatigue, creep, and reliability assessments within a fast-paced product development environment. The candidate should have 6+ years in CAE/FEA, with experience in ANSYS, NX-CAE, Nastran or Abaqus, and a solid grounding in mechanical

Qualifications

• Over 6 years of CAE/FEA experience for linear, non-linear, static, transient, thermal and structural calculations.
• Experience with ANSYS Mechanical/Workbench, NX-CAE, Nastran or Abaqus.
• Background in Turbo Machinery or Automotive or General Engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in engineering mechanics and mechanical design.

Responsibilities

• Carry out static/transient, linear/non-linear thermal and thermo-mechanical FEA of gas turbine components using major CAE tools.
• Perform fatigue and fracture mechanics assessment (low/high cycle fatigue).
• Compute high-temperature creep and creep-fatigue interaction; document results in design reports.
• Participate in structural integrity design reviews at component level and ensure data transfer to project lead.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure accurate input/output for structural integrity calculations.

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking a responsible, professional, and self-motivated individual to join the Gas Turbine R&D, Gurgaon as a ‘Mechanical integrity Engineer’.This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, global product development environment.

Primary responsibility is to Carry out static/transient, Linear/Non-linear thermal and thermo mechanical FEA (Finite element analysis) of Gas Turbine static & Rotating components (e.g. blades & Vanes, combustion, Rotor, casing etc.) using commercial software such as ANSYS mechanical, ANSYS workbench, NX-CAE, Nastran & Abaqus.

• Carry out static/transient, Linear/Non-linear thermal and thermo mechanical FEA (Finite element analysis) of Gas Turbine static & Rotating components (e.g. blades & Vanes, combustion, Rotor, casing etc.) using commercial software such as ANSYS mechanical, ANSYS workbench, NX-CAE, Nastran & Abaqus.
• Perform Low cycle fatigue, High Cycle fatigue and detailed Fracture mechanics assessment of Gas Turbine’s static & rotating components.
• Perform high temperature creep calculation and assessment. Creep-fatigue interaction needs to be checked.
• Prepare and document FE calculation in the form of structural integrity design report.
• Participate and conduct structural integrity design review at component level.
• Seamless transfer of structural integrity calculation input and output between design team and project lead respectively.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

• Mechanical Engineer graduate/Postgraduate from recognized college/university
• More than 6 years of experience in CAE/FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for linear, Non- linear, static, Transient, thermal and structural calculations.
• Experience in FEA software ANSYS mechanical or ANSYS Workbench or NX-CAE, Nastran or Abaqus
• Experience in Product Design in Turbo Machinery or Automotive or General Engineering
• Strong background in engineering Mechanics and mechanical design.
• Experience in turbo machinery i.e. Gas turbine, Steam turbine will be preferred
• Strong soft personal skill i.e. team player, quick learner, ability to adapt quickly & effectively etc.
