Green Gold Animation in Hyderabad is seeking a 3D FX Lead to spearhead the creation and delivery of high-quality visual effects for animation, film, TV, and games. You will manage a team of FX artists, develop complex simulations, and collaborate with CG, lighting, and compositing teams to meet project milestones.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in VFX, at least 2 in lead roles, and expertise in Houdini (mandatory), Maya, and Unreal Engine.

Qualifications

Job Summary

The 3D FX Lead is responsible for leading the creation and delivery of high-quality visual effects for animation, film, television, gaming, and digital media projects. The role involves managing a team of FX artists, developing complex simulations, ensuring technical and artistic excellence, and collaborating with cross-functional departments to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of FX artists, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
• Create and oversee high-quality simulations such as:
  • Fire, smoke, explosions
  • Water and fluid effects
  • Dust, debris, and destruction effects
  • Cloth, hair, and particle systems
• Work closely with CG Supervisors, Art Directors, and Production teams to understand project requirements.
• Review FX shots and ensure they meet artistic and technical standards.
• Develop efficient workflows, tools, and pipelines to improve productivity.
• Troubleshoot simulation and rendering issues and implement solutions.
• Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Conduct quality checks and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Collaborate with look development, lighting, compositing, and animation teams.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in VFX and simulation.

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in software such as:
