Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an intermediate Securities & Derivatives Intmd Analyst to support the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. You will process orders from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with Operations - Transaction Services.

You will apply analytical input, assist in project implementations, and help identify policy improvements while ensuring risk controls and regulatory compliance across trade flows.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated comprehension of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies.
• Clearly and concisely written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process securities transactions, provide analytic input for traders and aid in review of derivative products.

• Resolve settlement related issues and elevate as needed; recommend solutions to resolve complex issues.

The Securities & Derivatives Intmd Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities

• Process securities transactions, provide analytic input for traders and aid in review of derivative products
• Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies, in conjunction with professional judgement to make process improvement recommendations
• Resolve settlement related issues and elevate as needed; recommend solutions to resolve complex issues
• Participate in the implementation of assigned projects, including new products, services and upgrades to platforms
• Identify policy gaps and formulate new policies to enhance the streamlining of trade flow processes
• Monitor and provide solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank
• Provide informal guidance, and/or on the job training to new team members
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

• Provide expert Futures transaction input for deliverables from internal and external Institutional clients and vendors
• Assist in ensuring day‑to‑day tasks are covered and service levels are achieved and/or exceeded
• Contribute to special projects and provide feedback for all project related activities as directed
• Apply technical knowledge of Futures products, the various exchanges and clearing systems to projects and process enhancement efforts
• Contribute to the development of new techniques and processes within cash management
• Develop and recommend strategic decisions based off in-depth comprehension of how the Securities Derivatives Operations team interacts with other business units in accomplishing objectives
• Influence decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating others in area
• Evaluate moderately complex issues with substantial potential impact
• Provide informal guidance or on‑the‑job‑training to new team members
