Job summary

Citco, a global leader in fund administration, is seeking a detail-oriented fund accountant for its Pune office. You will record transactions, reconcile cash and positions, monitor pricing, and prepare NAV packages and financial statements.

The role involves collaborating with internal teams and clients to ensure timely, accurate reporting. The position requires a degree in accounting/finance, professional designations are a plus, and a willingness to work a shifting schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or management is required.
• Professional designations (CPA, CFA, CMA) are advantageous.
• Experience in financial services with high-volume operations or fund accounting is a plus.
• Willing to work on shifting schedule and be highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Proactive, team-oriented, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Record trade and non-trade transactions in custody and accounting systems.
• Liaise with Citco groups and external parties for information and documents.
• Perform cash and position reconciliations.
• Monitor and analyze portfolio pricing.
• Calculate and book fee accruals.
• Prepare NAV packages and financial statements.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting per client/internal requirements.
• Demonstrate ownership of tasks and meet SLAs.
• Maintain understanding of policies and client agreements.
• Collaborate with clients and Citco offices to resolve issues.
• Perform other tasks as required by seniors, supervisors and managers.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

• Record trade and non-trade transactions in custody and accounting systems
• Liaise with other Citco groups and/or external parties for information and documents
• Perform cash and position reconciliations
• Monitor and analyze portfolio pricing
• Calculate and book fee accruals
• Prepare NAV packages and financial statements
• Prepare ad hoc reporting in line with client and internal requirements
• Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely completion, in line with demanding Service Level Agreements
• Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable best practice policies and client-specific agreements
• Work with clients and other Citco Offices and Fund Accountants to resolve issues
• Perform other tasks as required by Seniors, Supervisors and/or Managers

Qualifications

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or management
• Relevant professional designation is an advantage (CPA, CFA, CMA)
• Experience in Financial Services with high volume operational environment and/or knowledge of fund accounting or hedge fund industry is a plus
• Willing to work on shifting schedule
• Proficient in MS Excel is an advantage
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Proactive, team-oriented and results-driven
• Good interpersonal and client service skills
