Job summary

Citco Group of Companies is seeking a talented professional to join our Financial Statement Preparation team in Mumbai. You will develop, implement and support post-NAV reporting products and generate innovative tech solutions for complex fund reporting.

The role requires experience in asset management accounting, data processing tools, and strong communication. You will interact with end users and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate reports and improvements.

Qualifications

• Asset management accounting knowledge from audit or financial institutions.
• Experience with data processing tools and templates.
• Skills in user interface design and information architecture.

• Understanding of process and operational flowcharts.
• Experience in reporting preparation.
• Advanced knowledge in complex derivatives.
• Bachelor’s degree with programming coursework (VB or similar).

About the Team & Business Line:

As a core member of our Financial Statement Preparation team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.

Your Role:

• Responsible for the development, implementation, and support of post-NAV Reporting products.
• Generate innovative solutions for technology to solve workflow, operations, and reporting challenges.
• Digest and understand new material quickly.
• Prepares technically detailed documentation for user instructions, production processes, and other programming documentation.
• Identify errors or problems and independently investigate; recommend solutions to team members or supervisors. Continuously monitor tools and templates to ensure any malfunctions are immediately recognized and corrected.
• Responsible for meeting with end users to determine report requirements and enhancements. This position will have interaction with a variety of CFS personnel and will work collaboratively with these groups to determine viable solutions to user reporting needs.
• Must keep up with the latest technology relating to reporting, industry knowledge and software used to perform the job. This involves attending relevant trainings when necessary, reading the latest literature, and ensuring skills and/or certifications are up-to date.
• Present to or exchange product updates and developments internally, with clients and outside auditors
• Work under limited supervision. Plan own work. Suggest methods and procedures for new work assignments, reviewing with the Senior Product Technician for input or approval.
• Assist in designing training courses and programs necessary to allow end users to effectively use the tools and templates.
• Writing and/or reviewing various reports related to projects.
• Provide guidance to team members to motivate and help strengthen specific knowledge areas needed to accomplish team goals.

About You:

• One to two years of asset management accounting experience at an Audit Firm, Hedge Fund, Hedge Fund Administrator or other financial institution where the accountant has gained financial products knowledge.
• One to two years of relevant professional experience using and supporting data processing tools and templates.
• Demonstrable skills with user interface design and information architecture.
• Professional experience analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, resolving technical problems associated with reporting tools and templates. Extensive problem solving skills and proven ability to tackle complex, technical issues.
• Thorough understanding of process and operational flowcharts.
• Previous reporting preparation experience.
• Advanced knowledge in complex derivatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, Finance or Economics, with course work in Visual Basic or other computer programming.
• Ability to travel as necessary.
• Good communication and writing skills.
