Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a Functional Analyst for Software Engineering - Development in the Banking domain. You will translate business needs into solution specifications, lead cross-functional collaboration, and drive end-to-end delivery aligned with regulatory, security, and performance requirements.

Reach across teams to define requirements, validate designs, and ensure successful deployment. Prioritize customer outcomes and mentor junior analysts while supporting Agile practices and banking

Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years of banking or BFSI domain experience with exposure to Treasury.
• Strong understanding of Front-to-Back Trade Lifecycle: capture, pricing, confirmations, settlement, reconciliation.
• Deep knowledge of Treasury products and instruments (FX, money markets, derivatives).
• Experience in treasury operations and liquidity management.
• Familiarity with market data integration (Bloomberg, Reuters).
• Understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements (EMIR, SFTR).
• Experience with enterprise treasury and trading platforms; cross-domain dependencies.

The Role

As a Functional Analyst at Kyndryl, you will be supporting and leading the analysis, design, and delivery of banking solutions. The role involves translating business needs into solution specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful implementation aligned with business goals, technology standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead identification, analysis, and documentation of business, system, and solution requirements
• Define and validate performance, scalability, security, and service quality requirements
• Perform end-to-end impact analysis across applications, integrations, and data flows
• Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Own and drive solution design specifications aligned to enterprise architecture
• Develop conceptual and logical data models
• Define source-to-target data mappings and create data flow diagrams and transformation rules
• Contribute to effort estimation and solution sizing
• Act as a key bridge between business and technology teams
• Lead stakeholder discussions and ensure alignment across teams
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and backlog refinement where required
• Mentor junior analysts and review deliverables
• Define validation approach, test strategy, and acceptance criteria
• Oversee SIT and UAT execution and ensure solution quality
• Analyze defects, conduct root cause analysis, and drive resolution
• Ensure deployment readiness
• Ensure alignment with banking regulatory and compliance standards
• Embed risk controls and cybersecurity considerations in solution design
• Support audit, compliance reviews, and first-line-of-defense activities
• Drive process improvement and standardization of analysis practices
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience through technology
• Contribute to reusable assets and domain knowledge repositories

Required Technical and Professional Experience

• 5 to 7+ years of experience in banking or BFSI domain with exposure to Treasury
• Strong understanding of Front-to-Back Trade Lifecycle: Trade capture, pricing/valuation, confirmations, settlement, and reconciliation
• Deep knowledge of Treasury products and instruments: FX (Spot, Forwards, Swaps), Money Markets, Derivatives (IR, FX, structured products)
• Experience in treasury operations and liquidity management (cash positions, nostro accounts, funding)
• Strong awareness of market data integration (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters feeds)
• Understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements (e.g., EMIR, SFTR, trade reporting obligations)
• Experience working with enterprise treasury, trading platforms (e.g., Kondor+, Corona, Planixs) etc., familiarity with end-to-end customer journeys and cross-domain dependencies
• Ability to engage with trading desks, treasury operations, risk teams, and IT stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of solution design, product lifecycle, and data governance & analysis
• Deep understanding of testing, customer experience, incident/problem management, and application support
• Expertise in requirements analysis, solution specification management, and feasibility assessment
• Strong knowledge of banking products and services
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic mindset with strong business awareness
• Excellent communication (written and verbal)
• High level of accountability, integrity, and adaptability
• Ability to perform in complex and high-press environments
