Diagrid is hiring a Fullstack Engineer to join its AI & DevEx team. You’ll build end-to-end features across backend APIs, AI infrastructure, and user-facing applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.

The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and strong developer experience in a fast-moving startup environment. You’ll collaborate with AI, platform, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure systems.

About The Role

We're looking for a talented Fullstack Engineer with strong Node.js and TypeScript experience to join our growing AI & DevEx team, led by Casper Nielsen. You'll help build the next generation of Diagrid's AI infrastructure and developer tools, working across backend services, APIs, and user-facing applications. This is a hands on engineering role for someone who enjoys building products end-to-end, solving complex technical challenges, and working in a fast-moving startup environment. You'll work closely with engineering and product leadership to turn ideas into production-ready capabilities, with a focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and developer experience.

What You’ll Do

• Build end-to-end product features: Design, develop, and maintain fullstack applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Develop scalable backend services: Build APIs, integrations, and services that power Diagrid's AI infrastructure and developer-facing products.
• Work on AI infrastructure: Help develop the tools and services that enable developers to build, deploy, manage, and operate AI agents reliably in production.
• Own features from concept to production: Participate in technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements.
• Create great developer experiences: Build intuitive interfaces, APIs, and workflows that make complex distributed systems easier to use.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with AI, platform, product, and engineering teams to solve technical challenges and deliver customer value.
• Champion engineering quality: Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code, contribute to architectural decisions, and continuously improve engineering practices.
• Solve challenging technical problems: Work on distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, integrations, and the reliability challenges that come with production AI applications.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong professional experience developing production applications with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience building modern web applications using React or a similar frontend framework.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and service integrations.
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud‑native development, containerization, and modern deployment practices.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Ability to independently own technical projects and deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort working in an environment where requirements evolve.
• Clear communication skills and experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams.
• A product mindset and genuine interest in understanding the problems developers and customers are trying to solve.

Nice to Have

• Experience building AI‑powered applications, AI agents, or LLM integrations.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks, orchestration tools, or agent development patterns.
• Experience with distributed systems, event‑driven architectures, or microservices.
• Knowledge of Dapr, Kubernetes, Docker, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with real‑time systems, messaging, or asynchronous workflows.
• Contributions to open‑source projects or experience working with developer‑focused products.
• Experience working in an early‑stage or high‑growth technology startup.

Working Hours

Diagrid's team works across Europe and North America. Our India team’s day typically starts around 12:00 PM IST, with afternoons overlapping Europe and evenings overlapping the US. You’ll need to be available for a core US overlap window of 8:30 PM to 12:00 AM IST; outside that, you can structure your day flexibly.
