Job summary

Amuse Labs in Bengaluru invites a dynamic software developer who loves building scalable software and tackling puzzles. You will work across frontend development, infrastructure, and deployment, shaping features from concept to production.

The role requires strong web tech skills (Typescript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and a user-first mindset. You’ll collaborate in a fast-paced team, with opportunities to work on international projects and growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience (Ph.D. waived).
• Web development experience with HTML/CSS and JS frameworks.
• Experience with React or Angular is nice but not essential.
• Strong CSS, SCSS, SVGs, animations, and responsive design.
• Excellent debugging and performance optimization skills.

About the role

This role is for someone who is dynamic and enjoys wearing many hats, and has an obsession for building, secure, scalable and reliable software. Passion for puzzles and games is a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
• Take responsibility of new projects from conceptualization to deployment
• Exhibit patience with incremental development approaches to suit the business needs and in incorporating peer review comments
• Find creative and clean solutions to problems
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design

What We’re Looking For

A Ph.D., master's or bachelor's degree in CS, IT or an allied discipline is required for all positions (advanced degrees from reputed institutions are preferred). You must be comfortable with software development in a Unix/Mac environment, and must be a good team player. Please be prepared to provide references from reliable people (any recommendations on your LinkedIn profile may also help pass screening.)

• A minimum of 2 years experience (waived for Ph.D.s) is a must for this position
• Web development in any language or framework(Preferred: Typescript/Javascript/jQuery, Bootstrap and other web-dev frameworks), HTML/CSS, responsive web. Experience with frameworks like React and Angular is useful but not essential.
• Expertise in CSS, SCSS, CSS hierarchy specificity, SVGs (inlining), animations with CSS and JS, and media queries.
• Excellent debugging and performance optimization (e.g. Javascript profiling) skills
• Keen sense for design of a consumer product and a user-first mindset
• Experience writing clean code that is maintainable and scalable
• Unit and integration testing experience
• Managing a high performance relational database with MySQL
• Basic scripting and automation for build systems
• Native app/webview development for Android and iOS is an optional plus.

Salary Range

25-30 LPA CTC, based on experience, with fast growth for high performers.
