Job summary

VisionWaves is seeking a software developer to join a collaborative team in Indore. You will write clean Java code with Spring Boot, build RESTful services, and work with React/Vue/Angular for UI touches. You’ll optimise SQL/NoSQL data access, write tests, and participate in code reviews.

You will engage in Agile ceremonies, contribute to deployments, and grow skills in TDD/BDD while learning modern cloud and container technologies.

Qualifications

• Educational background as stated: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 1–2 years of Java programming experience (Java 8+ preferred).
• Basic familiarity with Spring/Spring Boot for back-end development.
• Exposure to React, Angular, or Vue through projects or internships.
• Knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Ability to write queries and perform basic DB operations.
• Familiarity with Git and PR workflows.
• Understanding of unit testing (JUnit/Jest) and debugging tools.
• Desire to learn TDD/BDD and best practices.
• Good communication and willingness to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices ( SOLID principles, design patterns , etc.).
• Work with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) to create responsive, intuitive user interfaces .
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java (Spring Boot).
• Integrate with databases ( SQL or NoSQL ) and optimise queries for performance.
• Write unit tests, integration tests , and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance, and security issues under guidance from senior team members.
• Use CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
• Assist in deployment of new releases to staging and production environments .
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to sprint goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, UX/UI) to align on requirements and solutions.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends , especially in Java and front-end ecosystems.
