Job summary

THG Ingenuity in Pune, India, invites a hands-on Full-Stack Software Engineer (Mid-Level) to join our AI & Data team in the Logistics Squad. You’ll own full-stack features from API to UI, work with Python backends, NestJS, Next.js, and modern databases, while leveraging AI agents to boost productivity.

You will collaborate across an AI-first team, deploy on Google Cloud, and develop scalable, multi-tenant systems in a fast-paced retail and e-commerce environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping production web apps with end-to-end ownership.
• Strong production Python skills with async services (FastAPI or similar).
• Full-Stack proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js (NestJS) and modern React (Next.js).
• Relational DB experience (PostgreSQL) and ORM knowledge (TypeORM/Prisma/SQLAlchemy).
• Messaging systems like Pub/Sub, Kafka, SQS or RabbitMQ familiarity.
• Experience with GenAI/agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Vertex AI).
• Proficient with AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code).
• Willingness to work on-site at the Pune office.

Responsibilities

• Own vertical slices delivering full-stack features from spec to API, database schema, and UI.
• Architect Python services coordinating LLMs, tools, batch jobs, and event lifecycles via Pub/Sub.
• Scale multi-tenant modules (auth, workspaces) in NestJS and PostgreSQL with zero-downtime migrations.
• Build accessible, responsive UI using Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, and form validation (React Hook Form, Zod).
• Deploy and operate on GCP: Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage; monitor health with logs and metrics.
• Integrate AI agents to plan, write, test, and refactor production code daily.

About the Team & Role

Join one of the largest AI teams in retail and e-commerce. We operate at global scale across product discovery, demand forecasting, pricing, fraud prevention, and warehouse fulfillment.

We are an AI-first team-we don't just build AI products, we build with AI. You will use coding agents (such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude Code) as an everyday default to move faster, write resilient code, and focus on high-judgment problems.

This is a hands-on, backend-leaning full-stack role. The core center of gravity is Python, powering generation and processing services. Our transactional platform runs on NestJS, TypeORM, and PostgreSQL, surfaced to users via Next.js. You will own full vertical slices from screen to database schema.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Vertical Slices: Deliver full-stack features from spec through API design, schema changes, NestJS transactional logic, Python services, and Next.js interfaces.
• Architect Python Services: Build and maintain core processing services orchestrating LLMs/tools, batch jobs, and asynchronous event lifecycles over Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
• Scale Transactional Systems: Design and evolve multi-tenant modules (auth, workspaces, core domains) in NestJS and PostgreSQL with zero-downtime migrations.
• Build User Interfaces: Ship accessible, responsive screens using Next.js (App Router), React, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, React Hook Form, and Zod.
• Deploy & Operate on GCP: Deploy services to Cloud Run, manage data on Cloud SQL and Cloud Storage, and monitor production health with logs, metrics, and alerts.
• Build with AI Agents: Integrate coding agents fluently into your daily workflow to plan, write, test, and refactor production code.

Must-Have Qualifications (Essential)

• Experience: 3+ years shipping and operating production web applications with end-to-end feature ownership.
• Core Python (Primary Skill): Strong production background designing, testing, and scaling async Python services (FastAPI or similar async toolchains).
• Full-Stack Competency: Working proficiency with TypeScript across Node.js (NestJS strongly preferred; Express/Fastify acceptable) and modern React (Next.js strongly preferred).
• Databases & ORM: Practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), schema design, indexing, and ORMs (SQLAlchemy, TypeORM, Prisma, etc.).
• Asynchronous Systems: Hands-on experience with message brokers (Pub/Sub, Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ), including retries, idempotency, and dead-letter handling.
• GenAI / Agentic Exposure: Practical hands-on exposure building with LLM/agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Vertex AI Agent Builder, etc.).
• AI-Assisted Workflow: Regular daily use of AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf).
• Work Arrangement: Willingness to work on-site at our Pune office.

Good to Have (Desirable)

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures and multi-level RBAC/ACLs.
• Deep event-driven experience on Google Cloud Pub/Sub (ordering keys, push/pull models).
• Production experience with model providers (Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic), streaming generation, and tool-calling patterns.
• Exposure to e-commerce, retail logistics, warehouse fulfillment, or supply chain systems.
