Nimble Vision Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru builds AI-IoT systems for water infrastructure, connecting Modbus sensors to MQTT, TimescaleDB and live dashboards.

This role starts at the sensor and spans embedded telemetry, Python services and the Frappe application layer. You will own end-to-end pipelines from device to cloud, debug field issues across firmware, network and application layers, and collaborate with hardware to deploy field-ready solutions at scale in Karnataka.

Competenze

• 3–4 years of professional software development experience, some of it touching real hardware.
• Strong Python, with FastAPI running in production environments.
• Genuine Frappe or ERPNext depth — DocTypes, server scripts, hooks and the bench workflow.
• Working knowledge of MQTT and at least one industrial protocol, Modbus preferred.
• SQL and relational data modelling; PostgreSQL experience.
• Comfortable with a serial cable, a multimeter and a component datasheet.
• Willing to travel to deployment sites within Karnataka, and occasionally beyond.

Nimble Vision builds AI-IoT systems for water infrastructure — borewell automation, sewage treatment plant control, and municipal water management. Our NV50 controllers are deployed at scale with BWSSB, and our platform runs live at Bhopal Smart City, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, AP Government STPs and Ford India.

We are a Pre-Series A company backed by VA Tech WABAG, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and SIDBI. Our work targets SDG 6 — clean water and sanitation — and it is deployed in the field rather than sitting in a pilot deck.

The role

Most full-stack roles stop at the API. This one starts at the sensor.

A reading that begins as a value on a Modbus register has to travel through MQTT, land in TimescaleDB, and surface as something a municipal engineer can act on at six in the morning. We are looking for one engineer who understands and owns that entire path, rather than a single layer of it.

You will work across embedded telemetry, Python services and the Frappe application layer, alongside our hardware team.

When a device in the field goes quiet, you are one of the people who can tell whether the cause is firmware, network, or application — and fix it.

Required qualifications

• Approximately 3-4 years of professional software development experience, some of it touching real hardware
• Strong Python, with FastAPI running in production environments
• Genuine Frappe or ERPNext depth — DocTypes, server scripts, hooks and the bench workflow
• Working knowledge of MQTT and at least one industrial protocol, Modbus preferredSQL and relational data modelling; PostgreSQL experience
• Comfortable with a serial cable, a multimeter and a component datasheet
• Willing to travel to deployment sites within Karnataka, and occasionally beyond

Preferred qualifications

• Embedded firmware experience on ESP32, STM32 or equivalent
• TimescaleDB or another time-series database at production scale
• Linux system administration and Docker
• Exposure to water, energy or industrial automation domains
