Job summary

Common Service Centres (CSC) is seeking a PHP/CodeIgniter developer to join our team in India. The role involves developing and maintaining web applications, integrating RESTful APIs, and creating responsive frontends using modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Core PHP and CodeIgniter (CI3 and above).
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using JavaScript, latest/upgraded jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
• Work with MySQL and MongoDB, including database design, query development, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and modernize existing/legacy PHP applications.
• Analyse and resolve UAT and Production issues within defined timelines.
• Identify application performance bottlenecks and implement appropriate performance optimization measures.
• Follow secure coding standards and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Use Git-based version control and development practices for source-code management.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, Product teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
