Job summary

Pratham Software (PSI) seeks a full-stack developer with strong hands-on experience in Node.js, TypeScript and Angular to build scalable, secure, and data-intensive applications in Indore, India.

You will develop backend services and APIs, integrate with PostgreSQL and other databases, implement authentication and security, and contribute to automated testing, containerization with Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and Angular, building scalable REST APIs.
• Create backend services and microservices with Node.js; integrate frontend with backend APIs and external services.
• Work with PostgreSQL and other databases; optimize queries for performance.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure API communication (JWT/OAuth).
• Containerize applications with Docker and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment.
• Write clean, modular, testable code with unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews.

Job description

We are looking for a Full-stack Developer with strong hands-on experience in Node.js and Angular to build scalable, secure, and data-intensive applications. The role involves developing backend services and APIs, responsive web applications, integrations, automated testing, and containerized deployments while working closely with product, QA, and DevOps teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and Angular.
• Build scalable REST APIs, backend services, and microservices using Node.js .
• Develop reusable, responsive, and high-performance Angular components and modules.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and external services.
• Work with PostgreSQL and/or other relational/NoSQL databases, including basic query and performance optimization.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure API communication using JWT/OAuth and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Work with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka where required.
• Use caching technologies such as Redis where applicable.
• Implement application logging, metrics, and distributed tracing, preferably using OpenTelemetry.
• Containerize applications using Docker and work with CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment.
• Write clean, modular, reusable, and testable code with appropriate unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot application, API, and performance issues across frontend and backend.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Backend

• 3-5 years of hands-on Node.js development.
• Strong TypeScript / JavaScript skills.
• REST API development and microservices.
• Express.js / NestJS or similar Node.js frameworks.
• PostgreSQL or similar relational database.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and API security.
• Hands-on experience with OOJS and ES6 programming.

TypeScript and JavaScript:

• Experience with Server-Side Rendering and Unit Testing Frameworks.
• Familiarity with code quality tools and processes (ESLint, Flow, Sonar, etc. ).

Frontend:

• Proficiency in Angular and the latest versions.
• TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS.
• Angular components, services, routing, and reusable modules.
• Responsive web development and browser compatibility.
• Frontend performance and basic accessibility practices.
• Deep knowledge of Angular best practices and commonly used modules.

Engineering and DevOps:

• Docker and containerized application development.
• Git and CI/CD fundamentals.
• Unit/integration testing and code-quality practices.
• Understanding of application logging, monitoring, and observability.
• Agile/Scrum development experience.

Good to Have:

• React.js experience.
• Kafka, gRPC, and Redis.
• Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure/GCP.
• OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing.
• Experience with high-volume/data-intensive applications.
• Experience with performance tuning and caching.
