Job summary

Actalent is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Engineer with 4–6 years of experience to design, build, and ship production‑grade web applications end to end. You will own features across the stack—crafting responsive React front ends in TypeScript and building secure, performant .NET Core APIs backed by EF Core.

This delivery‑focused role requires writing clean, well‑tested code, attention to performance and maintainability, and operating services on Microsoft Azure.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Strong proficiency in React with TypeScript, including hooks and state management.
• Solid backend experience in .NET Core / C# with Entity Framework Core, targeting .NET 10.
• Hands-on working knowledge of Microsoft Azure for deploying and running applications.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs with authentication.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end/UI test automation in CI.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
• Available to join immediately and work from Hyderabad (on-site / hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, component-driven user interfaces in React with TypeScript, following modern patterns and design systems.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET Core (.NET 10) and C#, with EF Core for data access, migrations, and query optimisation.
• Model relational schemas and write efficient, well-indexed queries against SQL Server / Azure SQL.
• Deploy, monitor, and operate applications on Microsoft Azure with cost, security, and reliability considerations.
• Implement authentication and authorisation (OAuth2 / OIDC / JWT) and apply secure-coding practices across the stack.
• Write unit and integration tests and build Playwright-based UI automation suites integrated into CI pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold clean-architecture principles (SOLID, DRY, separation of concerns).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) and support repeatable releases.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies, estimate work, and deliver features within timelines.

This is a delivery‑focused role for an engineer who writes clean, well‑tested code, cares about performance and maintainability, and is comfortable deploying and operating services on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and QA in an Agile team and contribute to engineering standards and code quality across the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, component‑driven user interfaces in React with TypeScript, following modern patterns (hooks, context, state management) and reusable design systems.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET Core (.NET 10) and C#, with Entity Framework Core for data access, migrations, and query optimisation.
• Model relational schemas and write efficient, well‑indexed queries against SQL Server / Azure SQL.
• Deploy, monitor, and operate applications on Microsoft Azure (App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vault) with an eye on cost, security, and reliability.
• Implement authentication and authorisation (OAuth2 / OIDC / JWT, Azure Entra ID) and apply secure‑coding practices across the stack.
• Write unit and integration tests, and build end‑to‑end / UI automation suites with Playwright to safeguard critical user journeys.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold clean‑architecture principles (SOLID, DRY, separation of concerns).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) and support smooth, repeatable releases.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies, estimate work accurately, and deliver features within committed timelines.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4–6 years of professional full‑stack development experience shipping production web applications.
• Strong proficiency in React with TypeScript — hooks, component architecture, state management, and modern build tooling. (Must‑have)
• Solid backend experience in .NET Core / C# with Entity Framework Core, targeting .NET 10. (Must‑have)
• Hands‑on working knowledge of Microsoft Azure for deploying and running applications. (Required)
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL, ideally SQL Server / Azure SQL.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, including versioning, error handling, and authentication.
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for end‑to‑end / UI test automation, integrated into CI pipelines. (Must‑have)
• Familiarity with Git‑based workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
• Sound grasp of software engineering fundamentals — data structures, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Available to join immediately and work from Hyderabad (on‑site / hybrid).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Exposure to microservices, message queues, or event‑driven architectures.
• Front‑end unit testing (Jest / Vitest) and component libraries (MUI, Tailwind).
• Experience with Next.js, GraphQL, or real‑time features (SignalR / WebSockets).
• Awareness of observability tooling (Application Insights, logging, metrics).

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
