Job summary

KSB, a leader in pumping solutions, seeks an Assembly Engineer (Fixed Term Contract) for on-site assembly of high‑pressure multistage pumps at Khandala MIDC. The role requires 3–7 years of mechanical assembly experience and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

You will work under the Assembly (Nuclear) department, following ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO18001 standards, performing rotor and final pump assembly, testing support, and on-site commissioning.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience in assembling high-pressure multistage pumps is essential.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001 systems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out complete assembly of pumps and components in shop.
• Perform rotor assembly and final pump assembly with connections.
• Assist QA Engineer during pump testing and inspection.
• Support on-site pump installation and commissioning at sites.
• Maintain records and reports as required.
• Follow safety and ISO standards during all activities.

Job description

Job Location: Khandala MIDC, Phase-II, Village Kesurdi, Tal.- Khandala, Dist.- Satara, Maharashtra.

Designation: Assembly Engineer (on Fixed Term Contract)

Department: Assembly (Nuclear)

Formal education: Diploma - Mechanical only ( No other qualification)

Professional experience: 3 to 7 years

Role & responsibilities

• Carry out complete assembly of RSR pump and other components in shop.
• Carry out pump assembly activity in following steps.
• Rotor Assembly
• Assembly measurements and calculations.
• Final pump assembly with all necessary connections and attachments.
• Assist to Q.A.Engineer in pump testing/stage and final inspection.
• Assist client in client inspection and strip down test.
• Clean working place & keep tools & instruments back in place at the end of shift.
• Carry out grinding required for balancing of the individual part/rotor.
• Carry out grinding/debarring/sharp edges removal of in process//finished machined parts.
• Set up and arrangement for helium leak test .
• Carry out hydro test of various parts.
• Maintain records and reports as required.
• Pump installation and commissioning at Site.
• Tilting of heavy jobs using crane.
• Working practices to be followed accordingly ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001.
• Working Knowledge of SAP-PP module related to Assembly.
• Any other work incidental to the job, as assigned by the superiors from time to time.
• Carryout pump assembly ,installation, repair, service activity at site..

Preferred candidate profile

• Knowledge of assemblies of High pressure multistage pumps is must.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO18001 Systems.
• Knowledge of 5s, Kaizen.
• Knowledge of Drawing reading .
