Job summary

EY in Bengaluru seeks a Structured Finance - Transactions - CMBS analyst to support securitization engagements across ABS, CMBS, RMBS and CLO. You will perform agreed-upon procedures, review loan documents and reconcile data with clients.

You will collaborate with front-office bankers, prepare collateral analyses, and assist with client reporting while maintaining confidentiality and complying with industry standards and evolving AI-enabled review tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in related field desirable.

• Awareness of generative AI, machine learning or intelligent automation concepts.
• Exposure to data, automation or emerging technology tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• The primary role of the SFT transaction team is to perform agreed-upon procedures (AUP) to help clients execute securitization transactions successfully.
• Work with and interact with front-office investment banking clients daily
• Perform loan document review and data reviews on loan files, recalculating fields on data tapes and run exception reports to tie out with clients
• Create collateral stratification tables used for assessing loan pool characteristics
• Review offering documents to verify information is accurate, complete, and conforming with industry and market standards
• Multitask and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
• Articulate issues and problems and communicate clearly to the seniors
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members as part of the team
• Maintain awareness of emerging AI and data-extraction capabilities and their potential application to document review, while recognizing current processes, control and confidentiality requirements.

The Structured Finance Team specializes in addressing varying needs of market participants in the securitization marketplace across asset classes, including asset- backed securities (ABS), commercial mortgage- backed securities (CMBS), residential mortgage- backed securities (RMBS) and collateralized loan obligations (CLO). The securitization market is a dynamic marketplace, continuously evolving with new regulations and technological advances every day. Your Key Responsibilities

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline and approximately 2 years of related work experience; MBA or equivalent preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, including data reconciliation, formulas and structured analysis.
• Awareness of generative AI, machine learning or intelligent automation concepts, including their potential applications, limitations and responsible use.
• Exposure to data, automation or emerging technology tools is desirable. Examples may include advanced Excel, Power Query, Power BI, Python, SQL, workflow automation or approved AI assistants.
• Strong prioritization skills and flexibility to support client deadlines and role-based shifts when required.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Prior structured finance, securitization, commercial real estate lending or transaction due-diligence experience.
• Exposure to CMBS loan documents, data tapes, offering documents, collateral analysis or agreed-upon procedures.
• Exposure to, or interest in learning about, AI, document extraction, anomaly detection, reconciliation, QA or workflow-automation solutions.
• Awareness of responsible-AI principles, data privacy, information security, explainability and the importance of human oversight.
