Job summary

Doist is seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to design, build and maintain efficient, reusable code for React/Next.js applications. You’ll focus on performance, quality and responsiveness while collaborating with BA, QA, and offshore developers.

You’ll translate requirements into scalable web solutions, participate in agile scrums, ensure code quality, and share knowledge in workshops. Strong JS/TS, React, and web standards experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Excellent communication skills and ownership of tasks.
• Strong experience in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Thorough understanding of React/Next.js core principles, React Router, hooks, Redux, performance and security.
• Developing and maintaining modern distributed micro services.
• Cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform preferred).
• Building, testing, and troubleshooting high volume web services using REST & JSON.
• Solid foundations in data structures, algorithms, and their JS implementation.
• Expertise with semantic HTML.
• Proficiency in CSS (Tailwind, Styled Components, CSS Modules, SASS).
• Expertise browser-based debugging tools.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
• Experience with testing (Unit Testing, react-testing-library, E2E).
• Understanding of web application development processes and standard methodologies.

Duties

• Build React/Next.js based applications


• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications


• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues


• Help maintain code quality


• Participate in the agile team scrums and effectively communicate to the team the status, roadblocks, and timelines for the task at hand.


• Must be able to collaborate with BA, QA, developers and offshore developers to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain mobile web and desktop-based applications requested by the stakeholders.

• Building, testing, and troubleshooting high volume web services using API Protocols and Data Formats (REST & JSON)


• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and its implementation in JS

• Expertise browser-based debugging tools


• Experience with responsive and adaptive design
