Job summary

Ace Recruitment Placement Consultants is seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional in Mumbai to lead investigations into whistleblower complaints, assess fraud risk, and strengthen internal controls across business processes.

You will perform IFC reviews, control testing, and process audits, using data analytics, dashboards, and AI-enabled tools to detect anomalies. Collaboration with finance and operations is essential to improve risk management and the control environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of internal audit or risk advisory experience (fraud focus preferred).
• Strong data analytics skills and MS Excel expertise.
• Experience with Power BI and SQL is a plus.
• Exposure to SAP or other ERP/data analytics tools beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Investigate whistleblower/ fraud cases and strengthen internal controls.
• Perform IFC reviews, control testing and process audits.
• Identify fraud risks and propose remediation actions.
• Utilize analytics and dashboards to detect anomalies.
• Support continuous monitoring and pre-implementation audits for new systems.
• Prepare reports documenting findings and recommendations.

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct internal investigations into whistleblower complaints, suspected fraud, and unethical practices.
• Identify fraud risks and recommend measures to strengthen internal controls.
• Perform internal financial control (IFC) reviews, control testing, and business process audits.
• Use data analytics, dashboards, and AI-enabled tools to identify unusual transactions and control exceptions.
• Support continuous monitoring of business processes and investigate identified exceptions.
• Conduct process reviews, special audits, and pre-implementation audits for new systems or process changes.
• Prepare investigation reports, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with business teams to improve risk management, compliance, and the overall control environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CMA
• Experience in Internal Audit, Internal Controls, Fraud Risk, Forensic Audit, or Risk Advisory.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis; Power BI, SQL, or other analytics tools will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in SQL, SAP and AI tools
• Exposure to fraud investigations, whistleblower complaints, audit automation, or AI-enabled analytics will be preferred.
