Job summary

ABB Finance in Bengaluru is seeking a Finance & Analysis professional to join the FP&A team. You will analyze performance vs plan, close monthly, and prepare MIS reports, collaborating with various divisions. Strong analytical skills, SAP FICO experience, and fluency in English are essential.

You will contribute to data-driven decision making, support audits, and help standardize processes across global units within ABB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CMA/MBA Finance preferred.
• Up to 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
• Hands-on experience in SAP FICO modules preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; fluent in English with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing business performance vs Plan and forecast.

This Position reports to:

Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Roles And Responsibilities

• Performing analysis of business performance versus Plan and forecast.
• Performing month end closing activities and MIS reports for the respective business / functions.
• Working with the other financial professionals in Divisions / Hubs / Countries / functions to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance.
• Analysis of overhead under / over absorption indicating root cause. (True up/True down of the cost). Performing cost / benefit analysis and analysis of inventories, NWC
• Preparing ad-hoc reports as per business / function’s request. Supporting preparation of relevant organization financial reporting, business planning & forecasting. Supporting audits.
• Validating accuracy of financial data and business information and reports by performing reconciliation and review of exceptions.
• Optimize own performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplications, coordinating information requirements. Identify areas for process / report standardization across different countries, divisions and business units.
• Ensure processes and controls within own area of responsibility are implemented in line with Group and unit requirements. Maintain proper audit trail and documentation for future tax / internal / external audits and reviews. Maintain SOPs for all activities performed.

Qualification of the role:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in a Finance and/or Accounting. CMA/MBA Finance preferred
