Job summary

LinkedIn in India seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with customers, drive end-to-end delivery, and own the deployment of complex solutions from design through launch. This remote role supports global customers, with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering or application development experience.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand complex business and technical problems and translate them into scalable solutions.

• Partner with customers and internal teams to prototype solutions, iterate based on feedback, and drive successful implementation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize solutions in customer environments.

• Translate evolving requirements into clear technical designs and actionable development plans.
• Identify common customer challenges and provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams to influence product improvements.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects from discovery through deployment and adoption.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and autonomy.

Job Description

This role can be based out of Mumbai, Gurgaon or Bangalore.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is remote, meaning it will be performed from the designated home work location upon time of hire, and any changes to this home work location requires a review of remote status and approval.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be a hands-on technical partner working directly with customers to turn complex solutions into production. You will help accelerate deployments, remove technical and implementation blockers, and drive successful launches of solutions such as MCP deployments. You’ll collaborate closely with customers and internal Engineering, Product, and Solutions teams to solve real-world technical challenges and ensure our technology delivers meaningful impact. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in ambiguous environments, enjoys working directly with customers, and takes end-to-end ownership from implementation through launch.

Please note that the shift timings for this role will be 5:30 pm to 2:30 am IST as the incumbent will support our global customers and stakeholders.

• Experience building data pipelines, analytics platforms, or enterprise integrations.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with system design, microservices, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
