The ideal candidate will have 4–8 years of experience and a strong background in cloud architecture, AI/ML engineering, and technical consulting. Responsibilities include client delivery, cross-cloud integration, and AI governance architecture.

Qualifications

Role:

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) for Gemini AI, you will be the "special forces" of our Professional Services team. You will be deployed directly to high-value enterprise accounts to architect, build, and ship production-grade GenAI systems. You are part code-level expert and part strategic architect. Your mission is to take raw business challenges and solve them rapidly using Google’s advanced AI portfolio—including Gemini Enterprise, Vertex AI, and Agent Builder—grounded safely in multi-cloud data lakes (GCP, AWS, Azure).

Core Responsibilities

• Production-Grade AI Deployment: Architect and develop production-ready Generative AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and customized orchestration frameworks utilizing Gemini 1.5 Pro/Flash and Vertex AI.
• Forward-Deployed Client Delivery: Embed deeply with client engineering and executive teams to scope use cases, clear technical blockers, and build proof-of-value prototypes that transition smoothly into live enterprise production.
• Cross-Cloud Data Integration: Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ground Gemini applications securely using BigQuery Omni, BigLake, and Apache Iceberg table formats across multi-cloud environments (AWS S3 / Azure Blob to GCP).
• AI Security & Governance Architecture: Configure and enforce enterprise-grade security baselines for GenAI rollouts, including Context-Aware Access (CAA), Client-Side Encryption (CSE), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) masking, and strict data residency compliance.
• Technical Evangelism & Enablement: Translate bleeding-edge AI research and Google Cloud releases into practical, scalable code patterns and design documentation for clients and internal Evonence teams.

Technical Qualifications

• Cloud Architecture Fluency: Extensive, hands-on experience building architectures within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Dual fluency in AWS or Azure infrastructure is a massive advantage.
• Generative AI & LLM Stack: Proven track record building with Large Language Models (LLMs). Deep familiarity with prompt engineering, vector databases (Pinecone, Vertex Vector Search), LangChain or LlamaIndex, and RAG architectures.
• Data Engineering Mastery: Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data stack tools. Experience with BigQuery, BigQuery Omni, distributed computing, and enterprise data lake architectures is highly preferred.
• Software Engineering Foundational Skills: Strong software development skills (Python, Go, or Java) with a clean understanding of API design, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices.
• Certifications (Preferred): Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer / Professional Machine Learning Engineer.

Professional and Consulting Attributes:

• Elite Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication. You must be equally comfortable writing production code with developers and explaining AI risk mitigation strategies to C-suite executives (CIOs/CTOs).
• Extreme Adaptability: Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving client environments. The ability to prioritize "impact over noise" is crucial.
