About the Role
We are looking for a battle-tested Flutter Developer who can own mobile app development end-to-end for a live, production-grade fintech platform handling real money transactions (BBPS, payouts, payments). This is not a "build a UI and call an API" role — you will be responsible for the security, stability, and performance of an app that touches sensitive financial data every single day. We need someone who thinks like a senior engineer, codes with discipline, and doesn't panic when a payment fails in production at 11 PM.
If you're comfortable with "it works on my machine," this is not the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain a production-grade fintech Flutter application (BBPS / bill payments / recharge / payouts) used by real merchants and real money.
- Implement and enforce application security best practices — secure storage, obfuscation, root/jailbreak detection, anti-tampering, SSL pinning, and secure API communication.
- Implement end-to-end encryption for sensitive payloads (AES/RSA, key management, hashing) in coordination with backend and payment gateway teams.
- Build and maintain deep linking (App Links / Universal Links) for referral, payment callback, and notification-driven navigation flows.
- Implement and manage push notifications (FCM) — including silent notifications, data payload handling, and notification-triggered app actions.
- Build dynamic, config-driven UI rendering — screens/forms that render based on JSON/API response (similar to BBPS operator/biller dynamic forms), not hardcoded layouts.
- Own state management using BLoC, written with strict adherence to Clean Architecture (data / domain / presentation layers, use-cases, repository pattern).
- Implement local persistence using Hive — including encrypted boxes for sensitive data, migrations, and adapters.
- Write modular, reusable, testable code rooted in strong OOP principles (SOLID, abstraction, dependency injection).
- Handle iOS-specific development — provisioning, entitlements, App Store compliance, platform channels, and iOS-specific bugs (not just "Android developer who also builds for iOS").
- Debug and resolve production-level payment failures, encryption mismatches, and gateway integration issues independently.
- Collaborate directly with backend, QA, and security teams to close vulnerabilities before release — not after an audit flags them.
- Own release cycles: versioning, Play Store/App Store submissions, crash monitoring, and post-release hotfixes.
- Apply strong OOP concepts (encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction) in daily coding, and be ready to defend these choices in live-coding rounds.
- Own dynamic screen rendering — build screens/flows that render and adapt purely from JSON/API-driven configuration rather than hardcoded widget trees.
Mandatory Skills
- Flutter/Dart: Strong hands-on, 2–3 yrs minimum, production apps shipped to Play Store/App Store
- State Management: BLoC (mandatory) — Cubit, Event/State separation, BLoC-to-BLoC communication
- Architecture: Clean Architecture — non-negotiable, must explain layering in interview
- Local Storage: Hive — encrypted boxes, adapters, type registration, migrations
- Security: App security fundamentals — SSL pinning, root/jailbreak detection, code obfuscation
- Encryption: AES/RSA implementation experience, key exchange concepts, hashing (MD5/SHA)
- Fintech Domain: Prior experience on a BBPS / payment / wallet / recharge application is a strong plus
- Notifications: FCM — foreground, background, and terminated state handling
- Deep Linking: Android App Links + iOS Universal Links, deferred deep linking is a bonus
- Dynamic UI: Experience rendering forms/screens dynamically from API/JSON config
- OOP: Strong grasp of OOP concepts — this will be tested with live coding, not just theory
- iOS: Must have shipped and debugged on iOS independently, not "Android-only with iOS as an afterthought"\
- Version Control: Git — branching strategy, PR discipline, conflict resolution
- API Integration: REST APIs, error handling, retry logic, request/response encryption
Good to Have
- Experience with payment gateway SDKs
- Experience with biometric authentication (fingerprint/Face ID)
- Understanding of PCI-DSS or similar compliance basics
