Job summary

Veloces in Sriperumbudur, India, is seeking a Fitter Technician for permanent, onsite employment. 2–8 years of heavy engineering experience and an ITI Fitter qualification are required. Immediate joining and a general shift are available.

Responsibilities include fitting, assembly, alignment, and machining per engineering drawings. Candidate should handle bearings, shafts, gears, couplings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

• ITI Fitter qualification is required.
• 2 to 8 years of heavy engineering experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Immediate joining preferred.
• General Shift availability.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform fitting, assembly, alignment, drilling, tapping, reaming, and grinding.
• Carry out machine assembly and fit-up work as per engineering drawings.
• Handle bearings, shafts, gears, couplings, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• EOT crane handling as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area safely and efficiently.
• Follow quality and safety standards.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of fitting and machine assembly.
• Ability to read engineering/assembly drawings.
• Hands-on experience in drilling, tapping, grinding, and precision fitting.
• Knowledge of vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and height gauges.
• Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit with good attendance and punctuality.
