Job Overview

The Fire And Safety Officer will be responsible for maintaining and implementing comprehensive fire and safety practices within the hospital environment. This is a junior-level, fixed-term, full-time position requiring a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience. The role is based in Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban, Navi Mumbai, or Thane.

Qualifications And Skills
  • Extensive knowledge and proven application of Fire Safety Audits, ensuring compliance and safety across all hospital zones (Mandatory skill).
  • Demonstrated ability in Evacuation Planning, with hands-on experience developing and conducting emergency drills in large facility settings (Mandatory skill).
  • Strong adherence to and understanding of Hospital Safety Protocols for fire prevention and emergency response in healthcare environments (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficient in Risk Assessment techniques related to fire and safety hazards in hospital and allied settings, mitigating potential issues effectively.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular and meticulous fire safety audits, identifying areas of risk and recommending corrective actions to enhance safety standards.
  • Design, implement, and review comprehensive evacuation plans, conducting periodic drills and training sessions for hospital staff and patients.
  • Monitor ongoing adherence to hospital safety protocols, updating procedures in line with regulatory changes and hospital policies.
  • Assess the hospital environment for fire hazards, ensuring all departments are compliant with statutory and internal safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety training programs, ensuring all personnel are aware of fire prevention and emergency response protocols.
  • Inspect, maintain, and keep detailed records of all firefighting and emergency response equipment, reporting faults immediately.
  • Oversee and report on the operation of CCTV surveillance and building management systems, collaborating closely with security and facilities teams.
  • Support internal and external fire safety inspections, preparing documentation and facilitating corrective actions for compliance purposes.
