Job summary

Swits Digital is seeking an experienced FinOps Specialist with hands-on expertise in Azure and AWS cloud cost management, optimization, governance, and reporting. The ideal candidate will monitor cloud expenditure, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve cost visibility across both cloud platforms.

You will develop and maintain cost dashboards, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, and collaborate with engineering, finance, and cloud operations to implement cost optimization

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Azure and AWS cloud cost management and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Cost Management and AWS Cost Explorer.
• Experience analyzing and optimizing Reserved Instances and Savings Plans across Azure and AWS.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC) and commitment utilization tracking.
• Experience with AWS Compute Optimizer and cloud resource optimization recommendations.
• Expertise in cloud cost dashboards, budgeting, forecasting, alerts, and anomaly detection.
• Experience with tagging governance, cost allocation, chargeback, and showback reporting.
• Proficiency in cloud cost analysis, reporting, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Experience with third-party FinOps tools is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud costs across Azure and AWS environments.
• Analyze usage, spending trends, and resource utilization to identify savings.
• Implement and optimize Azure RI, Savings Plans, MACC utilization.
• Analyze and optimize AWS RI and Savings Plans with Compute Optimizer.
• Develop and maintain cloud cost dashboards, budgets, forecasts, and reports.
• Configure budget alerts and anomaly detection to catch cost spikes.
• Establish tagging policies and governance for cost allocation.
• Prepare chargeback and showback reports across units and projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, finance, and cloud ops to apply optimizations.
• Monitor cost allocation, idle resources, and underutilized services.
• Use native cloud cost tools and third-party FinOps platforms to improve visibility.
• Track savings and spending against budgets and forecasts.
• Support FinOps governance and continuous improvement of cloud financial ops.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced FinOps Specialist with strong hands‑on expertise in Azure and AWS cloud cost management, optimization, financial governance, and reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring cloud expenditure, identifying cost‑saving opportunities, implementing optimization strategies, and improving cost visibility across both cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud costs across Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.

• Analyze cloud usage, spending trends, and resource utilization to identify cost‑saving opportunities.

• Implement and optimize Azure Reserved Instances, Azure Savings Plans where applicable, Azure Hybrid Benefit, and Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC) utilization.

• Analyze and optimize AWS Reserved Instances and Savings Plans, and use AWS Compute Optimizer recommendations to improve resource efficiency.

• Develop and maintain cloud cost dashboards, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.

• Configure budget alerts, spending thresholds, and anomaly detection mechanisms to identify unexpected cost increases.

• Establish and maintain tagging policies and governance standards for accurate cost allocation and resource tracking.

• Prepare chargeback and showback reports to allocate cloud expenditure across business units, projects, applications, and teams.

• Work with engineering, infrastructure, finance, and cloud operations teams to implement cost optimization recommendations.

• Monitor cost allocation, resource utilization, idle resources, and underutilized services across cloud environments.

• Use native cloud cost management tools and third‑party FinOps platforms to improve cost visibility and reporting.

• Track optimization initiatives, savings achieved, and cloud spending against budgets and forecasts.

• Support FinOps governance, cost accountability, and continuous improvement of cloud financial operations.

Mandatory Skills

• Hands‑on experience in Azure and AWS cloud cost management and optimization.

• Strong knowledge of Azure Cost Management and AWS Cost Explorer.

• Experience analyzing and optimizing Reserved Instances and Savings Plans across Azure and AWS.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC) and commitment utilization tracking.

• Knowledge of cloud usage patterns, resource sizing, and cost optimization strategies.
