Job description

About US:

As a world leading provider of integrated solutions for the alternative investment industry, Alter Domus (meaning “The Other House” in Latin) is proud to be home to 90% of the top 30 asset managers in the private markets, and more than 6,000 professionals across 24 jurisdictions.

With a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in alternatives, we believe in being different - in what we do, in how we work and most importantly in how we enable and develop our people. Invest yourself in the alternative, and join an organization where you progress on merit, where you can speak openly with whoever you are speaking to, and where you will be supported along whichever path you choose to take.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Risk and Corporate Sustainability, you will support the development and delivery of quantitative solutions to underpin Financial Risk management at Alter Domus. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the accuracy and reliability of financial risk analyses, frameworks and reporting, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and analytical outputs.

Your responsibilities
  • Perform quantitative analysis across AD's financial risk framework, including Treasury and Finance processes and controls, directly contributing to the accuracy, robustness and reliability of internal risk models and analytical outputs.
  • Support the development and implementation of AD's financial risk management framework, including designing quantitative methodologies, calibrating risk models and authoring supporting policies and governance documentation for risk identification and mitigation.
  • Support development and ongoing maintenance of AD's internal loss model, applying statistical rigour and a structured modelling approach across the full model lifecycle — from conceptual design and parameter estimation through to validation, back-testing and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Assist in proposing risk appetite metrics, limits and thresholds, leveraging data analytics and agentic AI tools to generate real-time insights that support proactive risk management.
  • Support the management of the AD corporate insurance programme, ensuring relevant data and documentation are maintained accurately.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with capital requirements under local and global capital adequacy frameworks, and contribute to the oversight of defined benefit liabilities.
  • Manage and maintain ESG-related data, ensuring accuracy, completeness and fitness for reporting purposes.
  • Support non-financial risk reporting and help ensure compliance with applicable ESG-related requirements, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Non-Financial Reporting (NFR) requirements.
  • Prepare and contribute to ESG reporting materials, promoting transparency and accountability to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively within the team, sharing knowledge and contributing to a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and analytical outputs, applying critical thinking and creativity rather than simply executing defined tasks.
  • Act as a reliable and credible point of contact for internal stakeholders, making well-reasoned recommendations and influencing outcomes across different teams.
Your profile
  • Approximately 4–8 years of relevant experience in financial services, with a focus on financial risk, quantitative analysis, compliance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of quantitative modelling techniques, with hands-on experience in Python and data analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently assess risks and controls, and to manage regulatory or non-financial reporting responsibilities.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative, leverages available resources to learn independently, and can develop and execute plans with limited oversight.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a disciplined and methodical approach to delivering accurate and reliable work.
  • Ability to balance strategic awareness with a clear focus on delivery-level objectives and outcomes.
  • Confident in presenting findings and making recommendations to decision-makers, with the ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Able to understand and navigate the needs of different stakeholder groups, building credibility and influence across teams.
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with financial risk concepts such as capital adequacy frameworks, IFRS, or Financial Planning & Analysis would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite.
  • Experience supporting or executing control assurance activities and contributing to risk management frameworks.
