Job summary

Citi in India seeks an experienced Fund Accounting professional to handle financial reporting for hedge funds and mutual funds, with 5-11 years of experience and 2-4 years of team leadership.

You will prepare and review financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS, Lux GAAP, and Irish GAAP, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and drive process improvements while mentoring a capable team.

Qualifications

• 5-11 years of experience in Fund accounting/ Financial Reporting for hedge funds or mutual funds.
• 2-4 years of team handling experience.
• Sound understanding of Derivatives, Equities and Fixed income securities.
• Qualified accountant or/and strong working experience in financial reporting preferred.
• Knowledge of Mutual fund and Hedge Fund industry.
• Experience in Financial Reporting per IFRS, US GAAP, Lux GAAP or Irish GAAP.
• Prior BPO/captive back office experience in capital markets.
• Experience in Middle Office Processing, Financial Reporting, Fund accounting.
• Experience in process set-up/migration from onshore preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparation/review of financial statements/regulatory reports (Balance sheet, PnL, SOI).
• Understand regulatory disclosures like PF Act.
• Act as subject matter expert for the team.
• Follow US GAAPs, IFRS, Lux GAAPs and IRISH GAAPs.
• Ensure process initiatives and efficiency gains.
• Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Manage and build a strong team.
• Preparation of MIS and meet SLAs.
• Be a good team player; willing to work in shifts.

Desired Candidate Profile :

• 5-11 years of experience in Fund accounting/ Financial Reporting for hedge funds or mutual funds.
• Should have 2-4 years of team handling experience.

• Prior working experience in BPO/captive on capital markets back office processes.
• Experience and expertise in Business Areas- Middle Office Processing, Financial Reporting, Fund accounting
• Experience in process set-up/migration of work from onshore would be preferred
