Take ownership of financial planning, strategic modelling, and performance analysis in a fast-growing, multi-market business. In this high-impact leadership role, you will develop financial models that guide critical decisions around pricing, fleet management, unit economics, and funding strategies. You will translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights for senior leadership, board members, and investors. Working closely with teams across Operations, Supply, Growth, and Product, you will help identify opportunities, manage financial risks, and improve business performance. You will also support capital-raising initiatives and strengthen reporting processes through automation and scalable analytical tools. This fully remote opportunity in India offers significant autonomy, strategic visibility, and the chance to influence business growth through data-driven decision-making.

Accountabilities
  • Financial Planning and Modelling: Build, maintain, and enhance driver-based financial models covering annual budgets, rolling forecasts, unit economics, fleet ownership, financing structures, and scenario planning.
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Conduct monthly variance analysis across markets, identify performance drivers, evaluate financial risks, and highlight emerging opportunities to support proactive decision-making.
  • Management and Board Reporting: Own weekly management updates, monthly financial performance reports, and quarterly board presentations, ensuring that insights are accurate, relevant, and decision-oriented.
  • Capital and Funding Support: Support debt and equity fundraising activities by preparing investor-ready financial models, data packages, due diligence materials, and responses to investor inquiries.
  • Financial Data Integrity: Extract, reconcile, and validate information from the data warehouse and other financial systems to maintain consistency, accuracy, and reliability across reported figures.
  • Cross-Functional Business Partnering: Collaborate with Operations, Supply, Growth, and Product teams to evaluate pricing strategies, fleet utilization, customer acquisition costs (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and investment opportunities.
  • Reporting Automation and Process Improvement: Streamline recurring reporting activities, develop standardized templates, and implement scalable workflows that improve efficiency, transparency, and financial control as the business expands.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Translate complex financial and operational analyses into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders, helping guide resource allocation, investment priorities, and long-term growth strategies.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: At least 7 years of total professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), strategy, or a CEO's or Founder's Office role.
  • Relevant Business Environment: Current or recent experience in a high-growth startup or a well-regarded organization, ideally in a position in involving financial ownership and strategic decision support.
  • Financial Modelling Expertise: Strong ability to build structured, auditable, driver-based financial models from scratch, including forecasts, scenario analyses, and unit economics assessments.
  • Technical and Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is essential. SQL proficiency is strongly preferred, along with practical experience using business intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, unit economics, and business performance metrics.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Ability to transform complex financial findings into concise, compelling, and actionable narratives for senior executives, board members, and investors.
  • Attention to Detail: High standards of accuracy, data integrity, analytical rigor, and financial documentation.
  • Adaptability and Ownership: Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, managing competing priorities, and taking responsibility for deliverables across multiple markets.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline from a leading institution is preferred. An MBA from a top business school is an advantage.
  • Professional Certifications: CFA, CA, or CPA qualifications are considered beneficial.
  • Additional Advantages: Experience in mobility, marketplaces, leasing, or asset-intensive businesses; exposure to structured or asset-backed financing; and experience working across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets, particularly the UAE and Saudi Arabia, are desirable.
Benefits
  • Fully Remote Work: Work remotely from anywhere in India, with flexibility in your work environment.
  • Strategic Ownership: Take direct responsibility for financial planning, modelling, and performance insights that influence key business decisions.
  • Leadership Visibility: Present analysis and recommendations to senior leadership, board members, and investors.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Operations, Supply, Growth, and Product to shape business strategy and financial performance.
