Job summary

Hunger Inc. Hospitality in Mumbai invites applications for a Financial Planning & Analysis Associate to join our Business Finance team. This on-site role partnerships with cross-functional teams to drive budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and data-driven decision making across our brands.

You will translate targets into KPIs, analyze revenue and costs, prepare dashboards, and build business cases for new outlets and initiatives.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of FP&A, Business Finance, Financial Analysis, or similar role.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a good understanding of financial statements and business performance metrics.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets.
• Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Prior startup, hospitality, consumer business, or FP&A experience is a plus.

We are looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Associate to join our Business Finance team. This role will work closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to drive financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and data-led business decisions across our brands and distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities-

Business Planning & Forecasting

• Assist in preparing annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and financial plans.
• Work with various departments to gather inputs and align financial plans with business objectives.
• Translate overall revenue and profitability targets into measurable KPIs for individual departments and business segments.
• Monitor business performance against budgets and forecasts.

Financial Analysis

• Analyse revenue, expenses, profitability, and other key financial metrics.
• Identify and investigate variances between actual performance and budget/forecast.
• Track and maintain KPIs across business segments and brands.
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
• Highlight key trends, risks, opportunities, and areas requiring attention.

Data & Customer Analytics

• Analyse customer, product, and distribution-channel data to identify business opportunities.
• Work closely with data analysts and cross-functional teams to drive data-led decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to optimise products and distribution channels.
• Use data and insights to improve operational efficiency and business performance.

New Business & Expansion

• Partner with business leaders on new projects and expansion initiatives.
• Support financial analysis and planning for new outlets, products, and distribution channels.
• Build business cases and evaluate financial implications of new initiatives.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in FP&A, Business Finance, Financial Analysis, Management Reporting, or a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree or MBA in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a good understanding of financial statements and business performance metrics.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets.
• Ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable business insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Prior experience in a startup, hospitality, consumer business, or FP&A function will be an advantage.
