Job summary

Vendavo in Bengaluru (hybrid) seeks a Cloud Financial Operations Lead to own FinOps governance, improving cost visibility, forecasting, and vendor negotiations across AWS and Azure.

You will build dashboards (PowerBI, Tableau, QuickSight), drive rightsizing, Savings Plans, RI management, and chargeback models, collaborating with Finance, Engineering, and Sales to enable scalable cloud operations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Cloud Financial Management / FinOps.
• Expertise in AWS Cost Explorer, CUR, Savings Plans, RI management.
• Experience with Azure Cost Management & Billing optimization.
• Strong financial modeling and forecasting capability.
• Experience building dashboards (PowerBI, Tableau, or QuickSight).
• Cross-functional collaboration in SaaS or enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the FinOps governance model including spend validation and cost approval gates.
• Drive AWS and Azure cost visibility, reporting, and forecasting.
• Partner with Finance to align cloud budgets, forecasts, and actuals.
• Implement and mature a customer chargeback model across multi-cloud environments.
• Lead rightsizing initiatives for compute, storage, database, and networking resources.
• Optimize Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and Azure Reservations strategies.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce long-term operational costs.
• Publish executive dashboards tracking cost trends, savings, and unit economics.

This role will own cloud cost visibility, forecasting, optimization, vendor negotiations, and customer chargeback enablement while operating as part of the Cloud Platform & Operations organization. The role will serve as the FinOps governance authority, ensuring cost validation for onboarding, infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and production changes. This position is critical to enabling scalable 24×7 cloud operations while improving gross margin and financial discipline.THE OPPORTUNITY Own and operate the FinOps governance model including spend validation and cost approval gates. Drive AWS and Azure cost visibility, reporting, and forecasting (monthly, quarterly, annual). Partner with Finance to align cloud budgets, forecasts, and actuals. Implement and mature a customer chargeback model across multi-cloud environments. Lead rightsizing initiatives for compute, storage, database, and networking resources. Optimize Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and Azure Reservations strategies. Identify automation opportunities to reduce long-term operational costs. Collaborate with Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Sales to validate cost impact during onboarding and releases. Lead vendor discussions and enterprise agreement optimizations with AWS and Microsoft. Publish executive dashboards tracking cost trends, savings, and unit economics.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Year-over-year reduction in cloud spend (normalized by growth). Forecast accuracy within ±5%. Savings Plan / Reservation coverage ratio. Cost per tenant improvement trend. Percentage of cost-impacting changes reviewed before execution. Demonstrated cost savings from optimization initiatives.THE SKILL SET 6+ years of experience in Cloud Financial Management / FinOps. Strong expertise in AWS Cost Explorer, CUR, Savings Plans, and RI management. Experience with Azure Cost Management & Billing optimization. Proven experience in financial modeling and forecasting. Experience building dashboards (PowerBI, Tableau, or QuickSight).
