Job summary

RSM US LLP in India is seeking a Manager – Finance as a Service to lead and develop client engagements within the Record to Report and related finance processes. You will coach teams, review month-end close activities, and ensure accurate journal entries and reconciliations.

The role requires CA or accounting postgraduate with 12+ years R2R experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Office apps and automated accounting systems such as Intacct, NetSuite, Blackline, Bill.com or Tally.

Qualifications

• CA or accounting graduate/postgraduate with minimum 12 years of Record to report experience.
• Good knowledge of accounting concepts.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and engagement requirements.
• Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with automated accounting systems (Intacct, NetSuite, Blackline, Bill.com, Tally).
• Blackline experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Key point of contact for our clients Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash and Month End Close cycles.
• Lead, manage and coach client services representatives and associates.
• Review monthly journal entries for various cost and revenue accounts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Approve bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare/Review client’s monthly financial statements including variances.
• Analyse financial information for client management and provide actionable insight.
• Define and document repeatable methodologies with tools and templates.
• Understand our technology stack and identify add-on processes and integrations.
• Team handling experience is a must.
• Strong knowledge and experience in transitioning the process.

• Review monthly journal entries prepared by support staff for prepaid expenses, fixed asset, accrued expenses, payroll, and / or inventory transactions, as applicable, in an accurate and timely manner
• Understands the purpose of reconciliations. Approves bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations
• Prepare/Review client’s monthly financial statements including month over month variance analysis and / or actual to budget analysis
• Analyse and interpret financial information for client management and provide actionable insight and decision supportContinuously identify opportunities to enhance the clients’ monthly operations make suggestions for process improvements
• Define and document repeatable methodologies with appropriate tools and templates that can be leveraged for future projects.
• Understand our technology stack and identify additional add-on processes, systems, modules, and integrations that can drive month end close efficiencies.
• Team handling experience is a must.
• Strong knowledge and experience in transitioning the process.
