Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Finance Analyst to support its Central Accounting and Tax Compliance within the FOAA team in Bengaluru. The role involves month-end close activities, reconciliations, and analytical reporting to drive financial insights.

The candidate should have 1+ year of finance experience and strong skills in KPI analysis, Excel, and SQL. Experience with GST, corporate budgeting, forecasting, and audits is preferred; international exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of applying KPIs to analyses.
• Knowledge of Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills.
• Experience using data to influence business decisions.
• Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform or support the month-end close activities including closing of sub ledgers, general ledger reconciliations, reporting and balance sheet analysis.
• Prepare month-end Flux analysis for P&L and balance sheet accounts and share with stakeholders with explanations of changes.
• Demonstrate professional accounting knowledge and apply it to resolve complex issues and seek guidance from leadership as needed.
• Ensure financial policies and internal controls are in place and drive process improvements.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including GST-related reconciliations and highlight issues for action.
• Collaborate with auditors on audit queries to ensure smooth completion of audits.

FOAA is seeking a Finance Analyst to support our Central Accounting and Tax Compliance.

Key Roles And Responsibilities Are

• Perform/Support the month end activities which include closing of sub ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting and balance sheet account analysis.
• Prepare month end Flux analysis for all P&L and Balance sheet accounts and share with Stakeholders along with the analysis on the reasons for the changes.
• Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting and apply this in-depth knowledge, principles and systems design to recognize complex and unique issues and develop resolution and/or consistently consult with leadership in order to achieve resolution
• Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures and internal controls are in place, documented and also work on process improvements.
• Responsible for Preparing Balance sheet reconciliations (reconciliations with GST Tax returns/sub-ledger reports) and highlighting and taking necessary action upon the issues appropriately.
• Interact and working closely with the auditors on audit related queries and ensure smooth completion of the audits .
• Responsible for GRC compliance, internal control and get the alignment of improvements/changes with the Stakeholder.
• Perform and support new business/system launches including UAT of the accounting entries and financial reporting.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of finance experience
• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
• 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
• Experience using data to influence business decisions
• Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
