Job title: Finance Performance Lead – South Asia
About the Job
India is a critical market of Opella. As part of the 2025 strategic exercise, India has been designated as the "Change the Game" country, alongside the USA. Consequently, the role of Finance Performance Lead for India has strategic importance. The role contributes to building the success of Opella in India by (i) proposing business cases for strategic projects that create value for the company and monitoring delivery of performance on these projects (ii) supporting HFP on performance management for India (iii) business partnering in every aspect of trade and revenue, and pricing‑related compliance management (iv) audit requirements and execution of internal control policies.
Key Accountabilities
- Strategic Project Leadership – be a key stakeholder, bringing constructive challenge for mission‑critical strategic commercial initiatives with high‑impact business outcomes in the context of India "Change the Game", such as Vistaar (expansion of HCP external Sales Force), Udaan (expansion of Trade Sales Force), Innovation and BD projects.
- Develop comprehensive business cases with Strategy, Commercial and Performance Analytics teams, ensuring value creation.
- Establish KPIs and tracking mechanisms, monitor execution and performance.
- Challenge business assumptions, identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and present performance to local and regional management as support to HFP.
- Single point of contact for the South Asia zone comprising India, Nepal, Sri Lanka/Maldives, and Bangladesh (custodian for data and analysis).
- Support "Integrated Business Planning" (i.e. monthly rolling forecast) process, including analysis vs actuals/budgets and process improvements; budgeting, forecasting, analysis and monitoring of all sales‑related topics, including monthly sales variance analysis (GTN @ product level, SISO, comparative analysis of the sales portfolio, sales return provision and price‑volume analysis).
- Support to the preparation of Commercial Policy.
- End‑to‑end pricing‑related compliance, including DPCO 2013.
- Audit requirements and execution of internal control policies and procedures applicable to two legal entities, one of which is a listed entity.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws and regulations, specifically regarding core activities, and immediately highlight every deviation from the core process to the Internal Control Department and responsible functions.

About You
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS.
- Overall, 12+ years of relevant work experience.
- Chartered Accountant or Certified Management Accountant, or equivalent finance qualification (preferred).
- Strong leadership skills.
- Understanding of SAP and DPCO 2013 laws and regulations.
- Agility to operate in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, and willingness to adopt new digital ways of working, including AI.
- Collaborative, highly proactive and assertive attitude; commitment to excellence.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to combine and present complex information simply.
