Job summary

Qualifications

  • Typically requires CA/MBA with 10+ years in finance roles in manufacturing
  • Experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and statutory compliance is essential
  • Exposure to ERP systems and MIS reporting is required

Responsibilities

  • Lead finance and accounting functions, ensure statutory compliance and governance
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and long‑term financial plans
  • Oversee treasury, cash flow, and working capital management
  • Coordinate audits and tax assessments, ensure GST/Tax compliance

Finance Manager

Indusun Drilling Fluids Private Limited is a manufacturer of specialty drilling fluid chemicals catering to the oil & gas and industrial sectors. With a growing domestic and international presence, the company is committed to delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable chemical solutions through robust manufacturing, technical expertise, and customer‑centric operations.

Position Summary

The Finance Manager will lead the company’s finance and accounting function, ensuring financial discipline, statutory compliance, treasury management, budgeting, costing, MIS reporting, taxation, and strategic financial planning. The role requires a proactive professional who can support business growth while maintaining strong financial controls and governance.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long‑term financial plans.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct profitability analysis by product, customer, and business segment.
  • Develop financial models for new projects, capital investments, and expansion initiatives.
  • Support strategic decision‑making through financial analysis and insights.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Ensure timely month‑end and year‑end closures.
  • Coordinate statutory, tax, and internal audits.
Costing & Manufacturing Finance
  • Monitor product costing, raw material consumption, and manufacturing overheads.
  • Analyze plant performance, production costs, and inventory valuation.
  • Establish standard costing systems and variance analysis.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities across manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Work closely with Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
Treasury & Working Capital Management
  • Manage cash flows and liquidity requirements.
  • Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts.
  • Monitor bank balances, credit facilities, and utilization.
  • Optimize working capital by managing receivables, payables, and inventory.
  • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for loans, guarantees, and banking facilities.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
  • Ensure timely compliance with:
    • GST
    • Income Tax
    • TDS
    • PF & ESIC
    • Companies Act
    • ROC filings
    • Other statutory requirements
  • Coordinate tax assessments and departmental notices.
  • Ensure compliance for export‑import transactions and foreign remittances.
Internal Controls & Governance
  • Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.
  • Implement SOPs for finance and accounting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and delegated authority matrix.
  • Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Drive process automation and digital transformation within finance.
MIS & Business Reporting
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports for management.
  • Monitor key financial KPIs.
  • Present management dashboards and business performance reports.
  • Provide financial analysis to support operational decision‑making.
Payroll & Employee Benefits
  • Oversee payroll processing and statutory deductions.
  • Ensure timely salary disbursement.
  • Manage employee reimbursement processes.
  • Coordinate employee insurance and benefit administration.
Banking & External Stakeholder Management
  • Manage relationships with:
    • Banks
    • Auditors
    • Tax Consultants
    • Company Secretaries
    • Government Departments
    • Insurance Companies
  • Negotiate banking facilities and optimize financial costs.
ERP & Digital Finance
  • Lead ERP implementation and finance module optimization.
  • Improve automation of accounting and reporting processes.
  • Enhance financial reporting accuracy through technology.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in export‑oriented businesses is preferred
  • Experience in chemical, specialty chemicals, oil & gas, or process manufacturing industries is an advantage
