Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Finance Data Steward to govern Customer Finance and Credit Master Data within SAP MDG. You will serve as the Finance domain authority, defining rules, ensuring data quality, and supporting Order-to-Cash processes across the enterprise.

This role partners with Finance, Sales, Tax, IT, and Enterprise Data Governance to sustain a trusted data foundation, drive SOX compliance, and support SAP S/4HANA transformations, including Phoenix R6.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, Customer Finance Master Data, Credit Master Data, Finance Operations, or related business functions.
• Demonstrated experience with SAP S/4HANA Business Partner, SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), and SAP FSCM Credit Management, including governance, data quality, workflow, and stewardship processes.
• Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash, Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, Customer Master Data, and related finance business processes.
• Experience defining and implementing data governance frameworks, data standards, business rules, validation controls, approval workflows, and data quality monitoring processes.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, ERP transformation programs, or large-scale enterprise data governance initiatives.
• Knowledge of internal controls, audit requirements, compliance standards, and governance practices supporting financial and operational master data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Own governance of Customer Finance and Credit Master Data within SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
• Serve as the Finance domain expert for SAP MDG and the owner of the Finance and Credit domains of the SAP Business Partner.
• Partner with the Customer Master Data Steward to ensure end-to-end governance of the SAP Business Partner lifecycle.
• Establish, maintain, and improve Finance and Credit master data standards, governance policies, metadata, and procedures.
• Ensure Master Data is accurate, compliant, audit-ready, and ready for transactions.
• Lead data quality management, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop data quality metrics, governance KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.

Introduction

The Customer Finance & Credit Master Data Governance Lead is responsible for the governance, stewardship, quality, and compliance of Customer Finance and Credit Master Data within SAP Master Data Governance (MDG). This role serves as the Finance domain authority for SAP Business Partner Finance and Credit data, ensuring enterprise-wide standards, controls, and governance processes are consistently applied. The position drives data quality excellence, supports SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives including Phoenix R6, and partners across Finance, Credit, Sales, Tax, Logistics, IT, and Enterprise Data Governance teams to maintain a trusted, compliant, and scalable master data foundation that enables efficient Order-to-Cash operations and business growth.

Essential Responsibilities

• Own the governance of Customer Finance and Credit Master Data within SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), ensuring enterprise standards, policies, controls, and governance processes are consistently applied across the organization.
• Serve as the Finance domain expert for SAP MDG and the owner of the Finance and Credit domains of the SAP Business Partner, establishing and maintaining business rules, approvals, validations, data standards, and governance controls that support accurate and compliant business operations.
• Partner with the Customer Master Data Steward to ensure end-to-end governance of the SAP Business Partner lifecycle across General, Sales, Finance, and Credit domains, maintaining a single, trusted source of customer master data across the enterprise.
• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve Finance and Credit master data standards, governance policies, metadata, documentation, and operating procedures that support scalable and sustainable enterprise data management.
• Ensure Customer Finance and Credit Master Data is accurate, complete, compliant, audit-ready, and transaction-ready, supporting reliable Order-to-Cash execution, financial processing, credit decisions, regulatory requirements, and business continuity.
• Lead Finance master data quality management, including data quality monitoring, root cause analysis, issue resolution, preventive controls, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and manage data quality metrics, governance KPIs, dashboards, and reporting, providing visibility into data health, governance effectiveness, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, audit, regulatory, and enterprise data governance requirements, maintaining appropriate controls, documentation, traceability, and stewardship accountability.
• Lead and support Customer Finance and Credit Master Data activities throughout the Phoenix R6 lifecycle, including solution design, data migration, testing, cutover, deployment, hypercare, and transition to steady-state operations.
• Collaborate across Finance, Credit, Sales, Tax, Logistics, GTS, IT, Product Owners, Business Process Owners, and Enterprise Data Governance teams to resolve data issues, evaluate downstream impacts, and implement sustainable governance solution.

Other Responsibilities

• Support enterprise Data Governance programs and continuous improvement initiatives that advance data quality, standardization, automation, and governance maturity.
• Participate in governance councils, design reviews, data stewardship forums, and cross-functional decision-making activities.
• Identify opportunities to leverage SAP standard capabilities, automation, and process improvements to enhance master data governance and operational efficiency.
• Maintain governance artifacts, business rules, decision logs, metadata definitions, and supporting documentation required for compliance and audit readiness.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to business users and stakeholders on Finance master data standards, stewardship responsibilities, and SAP MDG processes.
• Promote adoption of enterprise master data governance principles and best practices across Finance, Credit, and Order-to-Cash organizations.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing or supporting SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) within a global enterprise environment.
• Experience governing SAP Business Partner data across General, Sales, Finance, and Credit domains.
• Experience serving as a Data Steward, Data Owner, Governance Lead, or similar role with accountability for enterprise master data quality and governance.
• Knowledge of enterprise data governance frameworks and leading practices, including DAMA-DMBOK, SAP Data Governance, or comparable governance methodologies.
• Experience supporting data migration, cleansing, testing, cutover, hyper care, and post-go-live governance activities during SAP implementations.
• Experience establishing data quality metrics, governance KPIs, dashboards, and continuous improvement programs.
• Semiconductor, technology manufacturing, shared services, or other complex global operating environment experience.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, SAP Analytics, or other reporting, workflow, and governance tools.
• Experience participating in global business transformation, process harmonization, operating model redesign, or enterprise data governance programs.
