Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY TECHNOLOGY SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India seeks a Finance professional to perform FP&A activities, including analysis of backlog, KPI benchmarking, and driving improvements. You will partner with Controllers and Project managers to understand drivers of financial performance and support month-end close.

The role requires up to 4 years of FP&A experience, a degree in accounting with MBA/CMA/CA, strong analytical skills, SAP FICO expertise, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with MBA/CMA/CA.
• Up to 4-year experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, with manufacturing experience preferably.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with independent problem-solving capability.
• Hands on experience in SAP FICO including CO-PA and understanding on other modules.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
• Proactiveness in taking initiatives with a strong commitment to adhering to quality and deadline.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Order Backlog and GM%; benchmark KPIs with internal/external peers.
• Partner with Controllers and Project managers to analyze drivers of financial performance.
• Prepare financial analyses for scenarios and sensitivity analyses and impact on business units.
• Analyze SIE and BIE and identify root causes.
• Prepare and analyze Inventory reconciliations; review provisions.
• Responsible for back charges to offshore factory; support month-end closure.
• Review Income Statement and Balance Sheet during pre-closing and post-close; propose actions.
• Ensure invoices code to correct Sales Orders; perform SOX/control related activities.
• Compare monthly/quarterly MIS data with benchmarks and provide analyzed comments.
• Assist in financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Validate data accuracy and reports via reconciliations and exception handling.
• Support ad-hoc tasks as required.
• Present findings to Controllers.
• Participate in LEAN improvement projects and standardization efforts across countries.
• Aim to optimize performance by automating processes and reducing duplications.

Mission Statement:

Providing Financial Planning and Controlling expertise to the organization by compiling, analyzing metrics, finding trends, tackling challenges, communicating information to relevant stakeholders, and recommending actions to improve financial performance.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis of Order Backlog and GM%. Perform benchmarking of key performance indicators (KPIs) with external and internal peers.

• Prepare financial analysis for various “what if” scenarios and sensitivity analysis and the overall impact to the business units.

• Make sure that all invoices are coding to correct Sales Orders. Perform activities related to Internal controls and SOX audit.

• Comparison of monthly/quarterly MIS data with different benchmarks and provide comments/remarks with proper analysis.

• Provide support in preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Validate accuracy of financial data and business information and reports by performing Reconciliation, review, and report exceptions.

• Need to support Ad-hoc work/assignment/job given requirement, from time to time.

• Provide information to management by collecting, summarizing, preparing reports and share presentation of findings and analysis to Controllers.

• Active participation in improvement projects, LEAN management practice.

• Optimize own performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions,

• eliminating duplications, coordinating information requirements.

• Proactively find areas for process / report standardization across different countries, divisions, and business units.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with MBA/CMA/ CA
