AMD seeks a Field Application Engineer in Bengaluru, India to serve as the technical interface for embedded products. The Field Application Engineer position is the technical interface for AMD’s embedded products with embedded customers in the INDIA region. The Engineer will provide technical support for AMD’s embedded products, particularly FPGA and embedded x86 products, helping AMD drive a new era of embedded computing by engaging with large INDIA end customers to demonstrate how AMD technology can address their business needs. The role focuses on pre‑sales and development support activity as opportunities transition from opportunity to deployment, building confidence with key customer influencers and overcoming technical objections. Post‑sales technical support is also required, including handling technical escalations and accelerating resolutions. The Engineer must have a strong technical knowledge base, be effective in communication with customers and internal AMD stakeholders, and be proficient in troubleshooting embedded platforms, system and module‑level design evaluations, and developing reference designs.
This position requires a broad technical understanding of embedded applications, especially in the communications segment, and may require specialized knowledge of microprocessor and FPGA architectures. Embedded knowledge including operating systems, BIOS & firmware is a plus.
