Job description

Role Summary

The organization is looking for a hands-on Business Development Manager / Business Development Executive to own day-to-day outbound business development.

This role is focused on building a self-generated pipeline, engaging target accounts, developing stakeholder relationships, and driving opportunities through the complete sales cycle to closure.

You will be responsible for identifying and engaging target accounts across defined industries and geographies, conducting outbound outreach through calls, email, LinkedIn, networking, and industry events, and converting qualified opportunities into revenue. The role requires someone who can independently own an account from the first conversation through negotiation and signed deal, with minimal hand-holding.

This is a quota-carrying business development position rather than a strategy or oversight role. The ideal candidate is commercially driven, resilient, comfortable with cold outreach, and motivated to build a long-term career within a high-growth organization.

What we're looking for

4+ years of experience in outbound business development, sales, or a closely related BDM / BDE role

  • Proven track record of generating outbound pipeline and independently closing business, rather than focusing only on lead generation
  • Strong experience with cold outreach across calls, email, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels
  • Ability to independently manage target accounts from initial prospecting through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and closure
  • Strong account planning and stakeholder-mapping capabilities, with the ability to build relationships across multiple decision-makers within an organization
  • Consultative selling and negotiation skills with the confidence to drive deals independently
  • Experience working against revenue, lead-generation, and deal-closure targets
  • Strong networking capabilities with the ability to convert industry events and professional relationships into qualified opportunities
  • Strong CRM discipline with experience maintaining accurate pipeline stages, next steps, close dates, and activity records
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Resilient, self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-accountability sales environment
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, networking opportunities, and industry events
  • Long-term orientation with the desire to grow within the organization
Good to have
  • Experience selling AI consulting, software development, corporate training, staff augmentation, or technology services
  • Exposure to enterprise clients and complex B2B sales cycles
  • Experience selling across GCC and Indian markets
  • Existing professional network across relevant industries or geographies
  • Experience working with sales and outreach teams to develop proposals, presentations, case studies, and account-specific sales collateral
  • Strong understanding of ICP-based prospect qualification and account prioritization
  • Experience working with structured outbound cadences, sales playbooks, and pipeline forecasting processes
  • Ability to provide market and prospect insights that improve sales messaging and positioning
Skillset Stack

Business Development | Outbound Sales | B2B Sales | Cold Calling | Email Outreach | LinkedIn Outreach | Account Management | Account Planning | Stakeholder Mapping | Consultative Selling | Negotiation | Deal Closure | Pipeline Generation | CRM | Lead Qualification | Sales Forecasting | Networking | Enterprise Sales

What you'll be doing
  • Run daily outbound business development activities across calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking, and other relevant channels against defined target account and prospect lists
  • Consistently build and maintain a healthy, self-generated sales pipeline rather than relying solely on inbound or marketing-generated leads
  • Research and identify target accounts and relevant decision-makers across the organization's focus industries and geographies
  • Own a defined portfolio of target accounts end-to-end, from initial outreach through to signed agreement
  • Map multiple stakeholders within target organizations and develop multi-threaded relationships rather than relying on a single point of contact
  • Tailor outreach, messaging, and positioning based on each account's industry, geography, business context, and potential requirements
  • Drive opportunities through the complete sales cycle including discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and closure
  • Take direct ownership of deal closure and consistently work toward assigned revenue and lead-closure targets
  • Represent the organization at industry events, meetups, networking sessions, and relevant business forums to generate new relationships and opportunities
  • Build and leverage a personal professional network to identify new leads and commercial opportunities
  • Qualify inbound and self-generated leads against defined ICP criteria and prioritize sales efforts accordingly
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records covering opportunity stages, next steps, activities, and expected close dates
  • Follow established outreach cadences, sales playbooks, and reporting processes consistently
  • Coordinate with marketing and outreach teams to develop proposals, decks, case studies, and other sales collateral tailored to specific opportunities
  • Share market intelligence and prospect feedback to improve sales messaging, positioning, and outbound strategies
  • Provide regular pipeline and sales forecasts against assigned targets
  • Identify at-risk opportunities and blockers early while developing appropriate action plans to move deals forward
Why this?

Candidates joining this environment will gain exposure to enterprise B2B sales, AI and technology services, international markets, outbound growth, account strategy, and full-cycle deal ownership. The role offers significant autonomy for professionals who want to build their sales career through measurable commercial results.

Performance is directly tied to business outcomes, including revenue closed, qualified leads generated, deals closed, pipeline coverage, outbound activity, networking-generated opportunities, CRM discipline, and deal-cycle efficiency.
