Job summary

Ascendion Engineering seeks an experienced AI leader in Pune, India to shape our GenAI strategy and implement end-to-end AI solutions. You will drive multi-agent orchestration, MLOps practices, and scalable data pipelines across cloud platforms.

You will mentor engineers, translate business goals into technical roadmaps, and partner with executives to establish standards and reference architectures in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Deep GenAI / LLM experience with RAG, GraphRAG and semantic search.
• Agentic AI experience: multi-agent orchestration, tool use, memory, human-in-the-loop.
• Strong Python / full-stack AI app development with APIs and production deployments.
• Experience building document ingestion / intelligent document processing pipelines.
• Strong ML background: forecasting, prediction, anomaly detection, analytics use cases.
• Hands-on Azure, GCP, and ideally AWS with AI/ML services and Kubernetes.
• Experience with MLOps / LLMOps, model lifecycle, monitoring, governance, explainability.
• Strong data architecture for large-scale pipelines and high-volume processing.
• Senior enough to define AI strategy, roadmaps, and reference architectures.
• Able to work with executives while mentoring engineers and deep design work.
• Comfortable owning end-to-end work with minimal supervision.
• Preference for experience in finance/banking or regulated environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership.

• Strong Python / full-stack AI application development with APIs, backend, and production deployments
• Experience building document ingestion / intelligent document processing pipelines
• Strong ML background: forecasting, prediction, anomaly detection, fraud/analytics use cases
• Hands-on Azure, GCP, and ideally AWS, including AI/ML services and Kubernetes
• Experience with MLOps / LLMOps, model lifecycle, monitoring, governance, explainability, and production readiness
• Strong data architecture skills: large-scale pipelines, complex schemas, event-driven systems, APIs, high-volume processing
• Senior enough to define AI strategy, roadmaps, reference architectures, standards, and best practices
• Able to work directly with business leaders and executives, while also mentoring engineers and going deep into technical design
• Comfortable owning work end-to-end with minimal supervision
• Preference for experience in finance/banking or regulated environments
