Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Claims Supervisor to oversee the adjustment and administration of property and auto claims in the designated area, ensuring sound settlements and compliance with procedures. You will conduct case reviews, evaluate performance, set reserves, and coordinate with agents and the Marketing Department.

Travel for catastrophe assignments may be required, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Total experience of 6+ years in property & casualty and automobile claims.
• Leadership experience and team lead responsibilities are mandatory.
• Experience using industry platforms for estimating and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise adjustment and administration of claims in assigned area.
• Conduct case reviews and evaluate performance of Claims Representatives.
• Review settlement activity and ensure soundness of our systems and service.
• Set and adjust claim reserves within authority and ensure compliance.
• Train and develop assigned personnel and coordinate with Marketing.
• Approve expenses and payments within authorized limits.
• Maintain relations with doctors, attorneys, and repair facilities; travel for catastrophe as required.
• Promote safety and perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Supervises and directs the adjustment and administration of claims in an assigned area (involving specialization in or any combination of liability, property, or auto physical damage), participates directly in the adjustment of complex or unusual claims.

Conducts case reviews and evaluates Claims Representative performance by continuous review of claims statistics, open and closed file evaluations, reinspection, and observation of activities in the field and office.

Reviews the settlement activity of the Field Claims Office or Claims Service Center to ensure sound systems, service, and security.

Sets and adjusts claim reserves within authority.

Responsible for compliance with published company procedures.

Recommends and carries out programs designed to meet the administrative technical training and overall development needs of all assigned personnel.

Promotes coordination of Claims and Marketing relationships by instructing agents in methods and procedures of claims handling and by participation in meetings conducted by the Marketing Department.

Approves and signs expense accounts for assigned personnel and all payments within authority for allo cated adjustment expense on files supervised.

Maintains communication with competent specialists (for example, doctors, attorneys, and repair facilities) to insure prompt, economical, and professional handling of all types of claims in assigned area.

*Employees assigned to the Catastrophe team will be required to travel away from their residence for a specified period of time, usually consisting of 23 days.

Promotes safety at all times and complies with safety/ergonomic standards as outlined in relevant company published manuals.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Total Experience - 06+ Years
• Work Timings (India) - 6:30 PM to 3:30 PM IST
• P&C & Automobile Background, Leadership exp is mandatory
• Team Lead Experience is must , Be accountable for the team and delivery
• Experience writing estimates using industry-standard platforms (CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex, etc.)
• Familiarity with total loss knowledge and standard platforms for evaluation writing (CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex, etc.)
