Capgemini is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to analyze, modernize, and optimize ETL workflows for cloud-native solutions on AWS. You will design reusable, metadata-driven frameworks to accelerate onboarding of new integrations and enforce scalable design standards.

With 10+ years in data engineering and a strong skillset in PySpark, Python, and SQL, you will own end-to-end data pipelines, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive reliability and performance across platforms including

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, and Data Warehousing.
• Strong development experience in PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with: AWS EMR Serverless, AWS Glue, AWS Step Functions, AWS EventBridge, Amazon S3, Apache Airflow.
• Strong database experience, preferably DB2, Snowflake and Amazon Athena.
• Advanced SQL skills include complex joins, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning, and data reconciliation.
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter and the ability to understand and analyze existing ETL implementations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership from design through production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand existing Informatica ETL workflows, mappings, and business processes.
• Modernize legacy ETL pipelines into scalable cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Design and develop reusable, metadata-driven frameworks that simplify onboarding of future integrations and reduce maintenance effort.
• Identify common ETL patterns and establish scalable design standards.
• Build, test, deploy, and support data pipelines and orchestration workflows.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and reconciliation processes.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating external systems through REST APIs using Python/PySpark.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
• Insurance domain experience.
