Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager – FAST Lead Configurator (Life Insurance & Annuities Policy Administration Transformation) to lead FAST configuration efforts across multiple life insurance products. The role emphasizes technical leadership, stakeholder communication, and delivering high-quality configurations on schedule.

The candidate should bring strong experience in FAST configuration, XML/XSLT, C#, and SQL databases, with 4–6 years in insurance technology and a proven track record in client-facing

Qualifications

• Experience in FAST Configuration including Case and Policy level features such as Payments, disbursements, Reinsurance, ACCORD 103, NACHA, MIB, MVR, Billing Riders and extracts.
• Experience in Life and Annuity Insurance with knowledge on different lines of business and policy structures.
• Strong XML and XSLT editing and debugging skills.
• Proficient in C#, API development and integration.
• Experience with MS SQL and DB2 databases; comfortable writing and reviewing SQL queries.
• Ability to review client processes, provide recommendations, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership and client-facing experience; strong communication skills.
• MBA/MCA/BE/B.Tech with 4–6 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical streams of FAST configuration implementation projects as a team leader.
• Interface with onsite coordinators and ensure timely task completion.
• Provide regular status reports to management and onsite teams.
• Identify issues and risks early and design mitigation strategies.
• Foster teamwork and lead by example; mentor project resources.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Need to work as a team leader (technical leader) to contribute in various technical streams of FAST configuration implementation projects.
• Interface and communicate with the onsite coordinators
• Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting
• Regular status reporting to the Manager and onsite coordinators
• Raise the issue and risk in advance and think through mitigation
• Foster teamwork and lead by example
• Training and mentoring of project resources

Must Have skills

• Experience in FAST Configuration (Case and Policy level), thorough knowledge and hands on experience of various concepts like Payments, disbursements, Reinsurance, ACCORD 103, NACHA, MIB, MVR, Billing Riders and extracts.
• Experience in Life and Annuity Insurance with knowledge on different line of business, Whole Life, Term Life, Indexed Universal Life (IUL1, IUL2,IUL3), Universal life and indexed annuities.
• Good knowledge on creating and modifying XML and XSLT
• Experience in C#, API and writing and debugging the code.
• Experience in any or more of MS SQL and DB2 databases.
• Technical experience of working on stored procedure and SQL queries
• Review client processes and workflows and make recommendations to the client to maximise benefits.
• Excellent Leadership skills and business communication skills
• prior client-facing experience
• Should have understanding and experience of software development best practices.
• MBA/MCA/ BE / B.Tech/ equivalent with 4 to 6 years’ experience.

Preferred Skills

• Java, .NET Web Services, SOAP
• Experience in Insurance domain, preferably Life and Annuity
• Prior Client facing experience

Credentials/Certifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory)

• LOMA certifications relevant to conversion/operations
• Platform-specific certifications (FAST) where available
