EY in India is seeking a Manager – Conversion Subject Matter Expert for Life Insurance & Annuities Policy Administration Transformation in India. You will own end-to-end conversion strategy, data migration, and governance across legacy to target platforms, aligning with regulatory and audit needs.
You will lead a patchwork team of analysts, coordinate with actuarial, IT, and QA, define cutover plans, and ensure accurate policy values and reconciliation reporting throughout the transformation

The Conversion SME will own the end-to-end data and policy conversion strategy for a Life & Annuities policy administration system transformation (e.g., legacy platform to FAST/Majesco/OIPA/FINEOS target). This role bridges business, actuarial, and technical teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and auditable migration of in-force policy data, values, and transaction history from source to target systems.

Hands-on conversion experience on at least one target PAS: FAST, Majesco, OIPA, FINEOS, or equivalent legacy modernization platform
Conversion-specific
Prior experience in at least one full PAS conversion/migration cycle — mapping, mock conversions, parallel testing, cutover
Data
Strong SQL skills; experience with data mapping/ETL concepts; policy value reconciliation (cash value, reserves, COI, fund values for annuities)
Documentation
Ability to write field-level functional specs, mapping documents, and test scripts to consulting-grade standards
Delivery
Experience managing a pod, sprint/wave-based delivery, and reporting into a governance/PMO structure
Regulatory
Familiarity with state insurance regulations, policyholder notification requirements, and IFRS 17/statutory reporting impacts on conversion
